We are very pleased with this unit. Cooks very well and it is compact. Be aware that the manufacturer indicates it is a 8-cup rice capacity; they actually mean 8 cup cooked rice capacity. You cannot cook more that 4 cups of rice at the time. Also, it takes quite a bit of time to cook it. If you are looking for a unit with more capacity and capable of cooking other food than rice, look for the slow cookers from Aroma.

We use the quick rice function (rather than white rice) though we cook white sushi (japanese) rice everyday, rice cooks perfectly and even faster, plus I love the nonstick design! Easy to clean too

My rice either came out overcooked or undercooked but with this rice maker it comes out perfect. So easy to use. Just measure the rice, put in the water, close the lid, turn it on and the rice comes out fluffy and perfect.

This is a great rice maker and steamer for our vegetables. You can set it and forget it or just set up when you get home and it cooks very fast.

This is a good rice cooker. It is beyond simple to use. Add equal parts of water and rice with included scoop and close the lid and turn on. It's really that simple. It only makes 3-4 full cups of cooked rice at a time. If you need a lot of rice cooked at one time you may need a bigger model.

My wife and I eat a lot of rice. Being that we eat an Asian diet at least half of the time, this fine rice cooker is indespensible. It's easy to use, does absolutely everything for you, and will last for years to come. Aroma Rice cookers are the unequivocal best rice cooker money can buy.
