So I researched before I bought my own router. If you want to get rid of the monthly rental fee on your cable network this is what you need. Keep in mind this is just a modem you will need a router as well. Having a router and a modem is the best solution in my opinion because router/modem combos just don't have the best options and you can always swap a router out for better features anyways and the modem is just a modem for internet access. This thing does the trick and it's on every single top list as top router most of the time for cable.

It is a very easy product to install. A few cable connections and the power cable and it was ready to go. The last thing you need is to notify your ISP of the change in modem; in my case my ISP is COX. Initially I had only received fast ethernet download speeds and gigabit upload speeds. A repair in the cabling from the demarcation point fixed those problems and am now getting gigabit connections on both download and upload. This was a much needed upgrade to the older modem I was using. I highly recommend this hardware for anyone looking to replace an older modem.

There were a lot of options in choosing a modem, and I'm glad I went with this product. It not only delivers the speed from my internet service at 50Mbps, but my speeds regularly test at higher from 60 to 70 Mbps. I had the option to go with price to fit my budget, but this was worth the extra cost and I am enjoying the higher speeds on my home computer. Had I gone with a cheaper product, I'd be paying for a 50Mbps service, but only getting 7Mbps through the modem. It was worth buying this product over the cheaper versions. Buying this over renting a modem from the internet provider will end up saving money in the long run, and I get to enjoy better performance.

Fantastic modem, supports docsis 3.0 so definitely an upgrade if you're coming from an older modem. Setup is quick and easy no hassle whatsoever. I have time warner so I no longer have to pay a lease and I get better performance and reliability.

I purchased this modem to replace an older model and I have been very happy thus far with this purchase. The modem was easy to set up and is working well. The only thing that i I dislike is how bright the lights are on the modem. It would be nice to have a modem that was less conspicuous in a darken room (home theater).

This modem has all the capabilities I was looking for. It's compact, packs a powerful punch, and the reviews were excellent. I have had this for about 2 months and haven't had any problems with it. I would definitely recommended this product!

Great product for what I needed. I have a 200mbps and this modem has capacity of 343mbps which is more than i will need for several years. The next model up i believe supports 1gbps, but I will not use that for several years until prices drop, so the $50 price tag on this was excellent for my purposes. Easy setup, MAC# , model #, and SS# all clearly labled when setting up. Only Con is that it is white with bright blue status lights that contrast brightly in the dark, but i keep it out of sight for the most part.

This modem is saving me about $100/yr in rental fees, so that alone makes it worthwhile, but it also set up easily, handles all my downloads and maintains a consistent, reliable connection which I can't say for my Time Warner cable modem.

This is a great modem for Comcast. My internet speeds have never been faster and I don't have to pay their monthly "rental" fee. I strongly recommend buying your own cable modem and this one specifically. It will pay for itself in 10 months.

This modem works very well and was quick and easy to set up. My previous one got fried from a storm. Good signal compact and easy to use

After so much research I settled on the SB6141. By far a world of a difference from the cable company's rental modem. Save the time and hassle of dealing with their outdated equipment and get your own. You notice the difference right away!

Picked this up to replace my rental modem from Time Warner. So far, great upgrade. I typically get network speeds a little higher than billed for (~17 MBit/s on a 15 MBit/s connection), and I haven't noticed as many issues when multiple devices are active. Plus, I won't have to worry about the rental fees anymore.

I bought this modem to use at the beach. It was one of the ones approved by my cable provider. It is better than the one I use at home . Love it & recommend it. Very simple to setup.

I bought this to replace an old modem/router combination and I use it in conjunction with a brand new Apple AirPort router. It is very fast and so much more consistent than my old model, which cut out often and didn't allow email to come in on mobile devices for some reason. We have Comcast, which made it really easy to install and activate online if you have a computer with an ethernet jack, otherwise it's a quick phone call (thanks to the guys at Best Buy who warned me about this step or I may have gotten frustrated before shuffling through the instructions to see what I missed). I work from home, we use a lot of internet, and we stream TV through it and it works great so far after about a month. These things are not fun to spend money on, but it is worth the investment if you have old equipment that just isn't keeping up anymore.

I bought this modem to take advantage of the DOCSIS 3.0 upgrade from my service provider. It connects very fast and is very easy to install. I would recommend this modem to anyone looking to upgrade to DOCSIS 3.0.

Forget about paying ~$10 a month just to rent a modem. This thing is easy to set up and helps get you the most out of what you're paying per month for down/upload speeds. After just a few months, it pays for itself. It's a no-brainer.

I read a lot of modem reviews before deciding on a brand and model. I've had this for about a month now. Haven't had to reset it once and the speeds are great. Best Buy had the best price too! I am very pleased with this purchase.

This is the second modem I selected as a replacement for the leased equipment from Comcast. The first one was another brand that I use often and it was ranked higher than this one, but wouldn't work for more than 10 minutes. I purchased this item based on the salesperson's recommendation that this brand is the only brand that works with Comcast's Xfinity Broadband internet service. (It just happens to be the same brand as the equipment Comcast provides!) This item worked from the moment I pulled it out of the box. It took me literally three minutes to get back online, including pulling the box out of the bag! I haven't had one moment's trouble.

Easy plug and play to replace my vendor supplied modem with a supported DOCSIS 3 modem. Once I called Comcast and had them enter the id, we were set to go. Nearly two months later and no drop outs or issues at all. Very satisfied so far.

Modem was easy to hook up, just had to contact cable company with mac address. I showed an immediate increase of 1 - 3 mb download speed. I expect this to improve even more when the cable company increases their speed as promised. This is a great improvement over the cable co modem. Easy to install and begin operations.
