    Decided to dump the monthly rental fees from Comcast and purchase my own cable modem. This is an excellent replacement. Works as advertise and set up was extremely easy. Comcast recognized it immediately and I was ready to go in less than 20 minutes. If you decide to place the modem in a bedroom, you should be aware that the LED lights on the front panel could be a distraction when trying to sleep; I would recommend placing it in an office or somewhere where the blinking and / or the additional lighting may not affect you.

    This device was very simple to set up and get on line with. Once it was running I connected it to my wireless router with an ethernet cable and haven't had to worry about it at all. It has functioned flawlessly for 2 months now.

    I purchased this unit to get out of our providers monthly fees. This unit works with most providers and seems to work well and it a low cost options. Save money and buy your own equipment. Setup is easy.

    Moving from a DOC SIS 2 to a DOC SIS 3 was a huge difference. Sometimes my download speeds are 54 Mbps or more.

    Got it. Plugged it in. Works great! I got this model, which has more speed than the minimum that I was advised to get. So when my cable company speeds up again, I'll be ready. I have mPs to spare! Also: Love the blue lights!

    I needed a new Surfboard DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem after my old one finally went to the great modem place in the sky. I plugged this in, called my cable company and supplied a bit of information and was online again in fifteen minutes.
