I decided to stop paying a rental fee to Comcast for their modem. I would recoup the cost of purchasing the Motorola modem in less than a year versus renting. The bonus is the Motorola modem appears to process and provide a better quality signal than the modem provided by Comcast. I am very pleased with the Motorola modem.

Connection was very simple. No switches to figure out. It is an energy compliant product so it is fine to leave on everyday. I had read many reviews on the product and my guess is that it burns out in a year, that is because of 24hr continual use. When not in use, you can simply unplug.

Was easy to install and set up. No longer renting from the cable company and getting better transfer speeds. Wish I had done this year's ago.

It is as described and works very well. I had to call my cable provider and give them a picture of the tag on the modern with the info so they could allow it to communicate.

We bought this to replace a modem that was no longer working. It was very easy to set up and use. It is able to handle all our devices, games, and televisions smoothly and without delay. Definitely a good choice at a resonable price.

Yep, faster for sure. Definitely an improvement over my old modem, which was a DOCSIS 2.0 - also a Motorola Surfboard. I only have two gripes - saw the same modem at Costco for $10 less (not worth the hassle to return and what not). And the lights...THE LIGHTS! Waaay to bright. If your room where your modem is located has a night light, throw it away because this modem will render it useless. But a little tape will rectify that. I still give it 5 stars because the lights are easy to address. If you need a modem upgrade, this one is pretty reasonable. I just hope it lasts as long as my old modem (4+ years), which still works, I just wanted the performance increase.

Switched to Xfinity and they wanted to rent me a low end humongous modem. So I bought one and it will pay for itself in 6 months. No brainer. Also works like a champ!

I have not had a single issue with this modem...just plugged it in and we were online. I highly recommend this for anyone looking to save money on their internet bill.

Works great for everything I need. I have had no problems with it.

Setup was a snap just plugged it into my router called my ISP (Time Warner) and they were able to configure everything from their end. However, keep in mind when buying a modem your MBPS speed. I noticed that the SURFboard Modem came in 8X and 16X speeds. Even though I originally wanted to get the fastest modem it didn’t make sense because my ISP service was only giving me 20 MBPS maximum.

Xfinity approved DOCSIS 3.0 modem. Provisioned without any problems, more than fast enough for my 100MB Internet service, stays on 24/7 without any hiccups.

For the money it can't be beat why rent from cable company when you can own.

I was tired of paying my ISP for a cheap modem, so I bought this one. Works well.
