I would say that this Motorola modem is a pretty good product for the money. We asked the Best Buy rep what modem we needed as we were hooking up to Cox and they recommended this one. It worked for a couple weeks and then we had problems connecting to the internet. We spoke with Cox and determined it was likely a problem with the modem. We took it back to Best Buy and got another one and have not had a problem since. You can spend more for a modem, but as long as you understand that any product can have a defect and are willing to give the modem a second chance if you do encounter a defective one then go ahead and buy this modem. The second time is a charm!

This modem is far more reliable and faster than any cable company leased equipment. Pays for its self in the first year.

I. Love the small size so that its not a large eye sore. Does its job and works well for my minimal needs.

Replaced an older zoom modem with this one. Set up and running with Comcast in less than two minutes (all done online now). Only minor increases in up/down speed, but I'm pretty sure that's on the Comcast end. Still very happy with the ease of setup and it's a smaller profile than my old one.

I love this modem! It just worked right out of the box and gives me great speeds. I'm easily getting 50Mb/s from Time Warner

Just two of us. Works great with our Xfinity Wifi. Saves us money so we don't pay monthly fee for their modem to rent.

I am not a computer geek, so I was a little worried about hooking this up myself, but directions were clear, and it works perfectly, sped up some of the lag time I had and stayed connected better than my older modem. I definitely recommend this but I didn't give it 5 stars because of a very bright blue light that flashes all the time to prove your connected to internet, no where on directions did it say that would happen and I had to call just to make sure it was working ok since the other lights stay on constantly. So it would have saved me some time had I known it would flash all the time. It is BRIGHT. I have it hidden in a corner.

Out of the box and sets up in minutes. Owning your own modem saves on cable bill. Compatable with Comcast. High speed.

As soon as I got this product home, I realized that it would NOT replace the COMCAST modem/router/voice unit --- that recently had its rental price raised to $10/mo. BEST BUY did an exchange for the right unit for COMCAST/voice use: ARRIS Touchstone DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem and Wireless Router AND TELEPHONY ADAPTER. Unit is exact replacement for Comcast unit --- easy to install, no problems!

Replaced internet supplier modem. Easy to set up, great speed, and saved me fee that I was paying for the supplier modem.

The modem works fine. Set up was pretty quick and performance seems fine. I have to occasionally power cycle the modem and router a few times since the purchase due to slow internet speed, but I have an old router, it could be the router's fault. One thing annoying is that the lights on the unit is SUPER bright. If you google it, you will find a few complaints on the internet and possible remedies for that.

I bought this when Time Warner decided to hike up my modem rental fee to six bucks a month. I figured that this would pay for itself rather quickly. With a bit of research I found that this modem is used by many cable ISP's and is actually updated for future connections. So far it's still going strong with my constant video streaming.

Modem is very good, it is easy to install and faster then what we have had in the past.

Very easy to set up. Reasonably priced. I bought this to replace the cable modem I was paying a monthly charge for.

We decided to switch from AT&T DSL to Comcast. We bought this to use with the Netgear N600 router we already had. My husband was able to easily set it up. We use wired and wireless connections in the house and don't have any problems. For example, on a given night we might be having Xbox Live, a DVD player streaming Netflix, and DirectTV recording on the DVR...all with wired connections. We might also have two laptops surfing the net and a cell phone all connected through wireless. Everything works well.
