Great speed from this modem and much more reliable than the one provided by charter cable.

I did the math, and the fact that you are looking to buy your own modem, you probably did the math as well. A higher up front cost will save you money in the long run. My current cable provider (whose name I won't say, but rhymes with ConLast) charges 8.99 a month to rent the modem. I paid about $100 for this and it works like a charm. Side note, I was talking to the ConLast installer and he stated that if you are doing a telephone land line with them, then you need to use their modem. So if you are thinking of getting a telephone land line (remember those?) you won't be able to use this modem if you are using ConLast.

It's been a long time since I've purchased a modem but this one seems to work well and was incredibly easy to set up. Just plug it in and go!

This modem was great in that it's high speed and SUPER easy to setup and install! Since using it, I have not had one problem with my internet.

I purchased this to replace my existing modem that was leased for $7 a month through TWC. I had heard from several people that replacing the cheap second hand modem that TWC gives you with your own greatly improves your internet's overall speed and reliability. Well I must say that is totally true. With the old modem I was pushing out around 12 MBPS max while subscribed for 20 MBPS Road Runner Turbo. After getting the new one hooked up I am actually slightly exceeding 20 MBPS. Now I am actually getting the internet speed I am paying for. It is very compact in size as well, probably about half the size of the old one, and is pretty nice looking if you plan to have it in view. If you are unsure whether or not to get this, seriously just go for it! You can get rid of the monthly rental fee of $7 a month, so it will actually pay for itself in about a year or so, and it will push out the maximum internet speed that you currently are subscribed to.

This was recommended by an associate. It was very easy to install and seems to be working well. I'm technologically challenged so I can not add much to the review. One note, the 'connection' light is very bright!

2 Minutes to set up. Works great and good bye to $10 a month for the cable company.

Install and setup was easy. It works as advertised, and was compatible with my ISP.

We got this for our house. Luckily it was to be placed in a room that contains my office. The modem itself works great and I have not had any problems. The cable guy that installed it stated that this was the same modem they install if we were renting it. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the modem has a blue backlight to it that is extremely bright, so much so I can enter the room without turning on a light. If you are looking at this, don't plan to have it in a room where someone is attempting to sleep. Otherwise, a good purchase since it turns out cheaper than renting one from the cable company in less than a year.

WIth degrading wifi signal strength, a modem upgrade from the original Cox cable (10 years old) was sorely needed. After making the necessary connections and a quick surprisingly painless call to Cox to register the device, wifi noticeably improved. The only downside, the lights on the modem burn blue and bright. Bright enough that my neighbor probably wonders "what the heck is going on in that room?"

This is a great modem. If you are debating about buying your own modem versus renting one from a cable company this is definitely the right decision. I am paying for internet speeds of 105 Mbps but this modem is actually able to get upwards of 180. This can happen if the modem pulls the signal faster than your cable company can slow it down. Great model to future proof your technology as well.

Stop giving money to your cable company. Buy this modem and you will get speeds faster than what you pay for. Better modem than the one provided by your cable company. I have 105 Mbps service, and get 120 with this modem.

This cable modem seems great. It is one of the few that are compatible with Xfinity’s phone system. Set up was easy.
