Have used it for about a month and decided not to lease Time Warner Cable's modem to save a few bucks. Speeds are meeting my package speed at 100Mbps download and has capabilities to go higher. No need to reset as much and speeds remain constant with 3 smartphones, 2 tablets, 2 PC's, 2 Playstation 3's and a Smart TV.

Didn't have a choice in buying this one. Requirement for shentel internet. However it works great, small in size which is nice. I like having the modem and router separate in case one messes up I only have to replace one of them. Definitely better than renting from the cable company. Worth it to pay for DO NOT RENT

Tried several over the years to get around a weak node issue. New router, new modem, problem solved. This sits in a guest room and the blinking lights are very bright. Had to cover it with a towel when I had someone needing to sleep in there. Other than that it works great and provides a nice night light.

It was easy to install. There has been no down time or need for rebooting. My cable provider requires the DOCSIS 3.0 to obtain the faster speeds they advertise. My speeds did improve, but not as much as the cable company said. Price was less than if I had bought from the provider. No problems with the equipment.

Was recommended by the associate in the store and I have been super pleased the easiness of the install and the compatibility for using Comcast internet. This is just like the router Comcast will lease you for $7 bucks a month but in the long haul it is much easier to just buy it and set it up yourself.

I read up on some reviews and this seemed like the very best modem I could get for what I needed. I don't do a ton more than online gaming and streaming. Speeds have gone up considerably from previous modem, so I have been super pleased. I have had no issues with lost or interrupted connections to date.

I should've done this a long time ago. I rented modem from Comcast for years, it's like throwing money away. Highly recommend this product...no problem what so ever. Just called your cable provider for the initial setup and you're ready to go.

I must say my employer did the research on the modem. He wanted a powerful one to run his high speed internet. So I figure it must be a good modem. And install was super easy. And now I can take back the modem rental I have which didn't work well. Highly recommended! Still can't get over how small.

I hated the fact that I had to rent a modem with Time Warner. The device they offered looked like an outdated xbox. I wanted another option and found this device after reading a few reviews. Best Buy had the cheapest price and I had a gift card so it was a no brainer to purchase from BB. The device itself was easy to set up because, well, the Time Warner rep was the one that installed it. If I did have to install it myself, it would be a matter of plugging in the internet cable and the power cord and done. It's fast and reliable. Works well for me.

I love this little guy. was simple and easy to set up. Fast and powerful. My only issue is I don't understand why my net keeps dropping. I know its not this little guy because I've had my tech friends look at it. So it can only mean that my service provider is the bottleneck causing me heartache.

I bought this modem because I was tired of renting one from Comcast. Setup was easy I just had to hook up the wire and call Comcast and read them some numbers. It was a little annoying because there are 3 sets of numbers and getting anyone from Comcast who speaks clearly is impossible! Recommended.

Works well like most other Surfboard modems I've ever used. I'm getting faster than advertised speeds on my TWC service. On downsides I've had with it are that it doesn't have a built in hub/switch. It's just a barebones modem, but expected at this price. Also, the blue LEDs are very bright and light up my whole living room like a Christmas tree unless I hide the modem or cover the lights.

We're using the modem for Comcast internet and cable service. It's small and works well. We stream from Amazon prime and netflix and have no issues with speed. This purchase was also a major savings vs renting a modem from Comcast.

This modem is a very popular simple device with an easy connection process, also a good value. The cable company had to troubleshoot and reconfigure the modem remotely, then it worked great, and automatically communicated with and set up with the wireless router in less than 5 minutes.

This was an upgrade from our older cable provided surfboard modem. This modem gives us the speed to stream from several devices at the same time. When we are all streaming there is no noticeable drop off. It was super simple to setup and has been working fine. I would highly recommend.

Easy set up, and good speeds. Only complaint is the brightness of the lights

before I got this modem, my internet was super slow with the "provided" modem, but after, I was getting full speed (100mbps). could not be happier with my product. Although there are more options out there, this is a great modem itself if you are using a different router to go along with it.

Purchased to save on Comcast rental fee. Easy to activate and program. So far no issues speeds to my Comcast blast max. No problem with attaching my old D-link dr655 router still one of the best N routers ever made. Modem has stayed on line now for two months with out having to reset.

It's been rock solid reliable since it's been installed about 3 months ago. Since its the latest in technology also, I don't see it becoming obsolete anytime soon. My provider doesn't even support its maximum speed yet. You're throwing away money by renting a modem instead of buying one of these.

After checking with my cable internet provider (Comcast) and confirming that this modem is compliant with their service, I picked this modem. Great connection and speed. I am not left wanting for more and it is compatible with all speeds that my ISP offers.
