Accepts cable connection only, but, why would you want an old telephone connection ? I have been using computers and the internet since they were invented (am 75 years old). Have seen it all. This is the best unit for the money on the market (at this time).

Bright lights

Cox cable recommended

I used Cox Cable's free contraption for my phone. It's just one more box by my router. I found the WIFi works just fine throughout my house and yard for my desk top, iPad, iPhone and Nook.

Extensive WIFI coverage

It's WIFI coverage is extensive throughout our home. Plan to spend some time when first setting it up. It was not a simple "plug it in and go".
