Customers highly value the SURFboard AC2350's ease of use, performance, and quick setup. Many appreciate its strong WiFi signal and wide range, finding it provides reliable internet access throughout their homes. While some mention the router's larger size, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs this concern. The affordable price point is also frequently cited as a significant advantage.

Amazing router
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an amazing router!!! The first thing I did was call my internet provider and confirmed that I could use this router instead of the one they provide. Once that was confirmed we went through the process of configuring this router. Once configured, I had all my family log into the new AARIS-SURFboard router and the difference was night and day. We all noticed right from the start a much faster transition between web pages and streaming Netflix was flawless. The range of the signal is also farther, so no need for my network extender any longer. I’ve also noticed an increase in my Mbps speed. Hands down the best addition to my WiFi network to date. Not only is the performance better but my bill actually decreased due to not needing the providers router and now no matter where I go, I can bring this component with me. This is hands down one of the best routers on the market. It’s a must have.

Compatible w/ Cable Provider, Works As Advertised
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Arris SURFboard cable modem and wireless router connected easily to my cable company (Comcast/Xfinity), and eliminates the monthly charge for renting one from them. The wireless connectivity seems to be a little bit stronger than the router I was replacing. Configuration is easy with the web interface. There's a "Quick Start Wizard" to get beginners up and running quickly, plus lots of settings to configure for the more technically minded. I really like the option to disable the LED lights on the front panel. Some places you just don't want all that eerie light going on. Overall, a solid product that seems to be doing exactly what it's supposed to do.

much faster than my previous cable modem.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This replaced my 6 year old modem. This took some time to set up, but once it was, everything ran smoothly. Everything you need to set up is included, and after a quick app download, setup was a breeze. Remembering and replacing old modem settings were a headache. Strongly recommend writing them down before disconnecting old modem! My old modem WiFi topped off at 52mbps. This one goes to 72mbps (I could get more if I paid more, but it’s all I needed). Just an FYI, this modem asks permission from the cable company during setup. Took my by surprise that I was being interrogated by cable company to prove identity just for swapping out the modem! Streaming video is kind of grainy right now, due to the modem stream being optimized for new modem. Hopefully by tomorrow everything will be super sharp again.

Reaching the download speeds that i'm paying
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's easy to setup. Once I connected it to my coaxial cable, comcast was able to recognize it right away and I was able to activate it all while connected to the router. I didn't have to contact or talk to an operator and I was up and running in less than 15 mins. Then I spent the next hour or two customizing my router settings so all my devices were able to connect. Now I'm getting the actual download/upload speeds that I'm actually paying for.

Easy setup and great performance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I setup this modem on Spectrum, using their mid tier internet service, up to 400 Mbps download. The ISP set up was easy, you simply call Spectrum support (existing customers), and provide them with some basic information found on the modem, or the box. The WiFi performance is as expected of any modem/router combo. Personally, I use a mesh WiFi network at home, and opted to bridge this one to allow my primary router to control the wireless network and DHCP function. Overall, the modem has continued to operate, only losing internet connection during an outage. Otherwise, it’s been a solid performer.

Hard setup, Mediocre Coverage, Limited Security
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start out by saying that this is a good modem/router combo. The best I've used. It just MIGHT still reinforce why I don't recommend to many of my friends to combine the two. The Surfboard is very simple from an industrial design PoV - Matte, textured black plastic, in the vein of cable modems past... As a cool security router, perhaps Arris could have dressed this up a bit? Still OK though - Utilitarian as it may be. Physical setup is a breeze. Putting the two devices together frees up space on the desk, and eliminates a few plugs for subsequent switches and routers that I'd otherwise need. But TECHNICAL SETUP... Where do I begin...? Spectrum is my ISP - They didn't seem to have any trouble adding this modem to my account and "provisioning" it, but the call itself was over an hour and a half, since the model simply wouldn't take commands from them, and they don't offer much support for "owned modems". I suspect what happened was that upon connecting to their network the modem pulled down a firmware update that slowed things down until it was fully installed and bug-free. After 90 minutes, we're off to the races. One of the things I was looking forward to, as a corporate McAfee customer, and having reviewed other "security integrated" competitors, was finally having the security provider in sync with my corporate software, which was a bit of a conflict in my last setup... The McAfee capabilities of this router were disappointing to say the least. The software forces YOU to figure out which devices are which as they connect,.its ONLY available to be remotely configured via mobile app, but it doesn't all work until your other configuration work on the router is complete, The router setup, to set a custom DHCP range, configure my own DNS, and other basic secure home networking wants, took well over an hour, and no wizard was offered that would help me do this completely. I also like to mix my 2.4 and 5GHz networks, so that my devices capable of 5GHz can use it when its best... This is the FIRST modem with a GUI option to do just that. It was fantastic. It was the only intuitive thing about it. The McAfee software/Mobile App gives you very little information on how it's identified many of the devices on your network - You need to check everything to see what IP its getting to properly identify and classify things to associate them with specific users, parentally control things, etc. Also - Where competitors offer parental controls and included subscriptions to software, our friends and McAfee simply offer their home management tool for free to work with the router. All other McAfee software will be full price, and parental controls are separate from their Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware offering - So if you're expecting an all-in, at least one year free offering like you get from Norton's similar offering, forget about it. Once I got everything tagged and named, I installed my ISP-offered McAfee software on all of the devices that take it, and other devices (like my video doorbell) continue to flag as security risks because "McAfee isn't installed"... Ha! Sorry I can't install MAV on my doorbell... Others do much better at "ignoring" the AV install status of IoT devices that obviously can't support it. On to the modem and wireless performance. Eliminating the middleman of a separate router, my performance is great. I do have some issues with certain protocols, such as XBOX streaming, etc. but thats an issue with QoS I need to resolve. Coverage is good, but other single-WiFi-Router solutions have covered our home better. Mesh solutions would fare even better, but I'd love to see Arris come out with a Mesh adapter for this, to extend the network in the home without going to traditional bandwidth-robbing extenders (and using a backband, like Mesh networks do!). All in all, a mediocre experience with a seemingly premium product. I expected more and left the experience disappointed.

It's ok so far
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was curious to try this modem. It took a bit of time for my ISP's tech support to get it to finally work, then in one day, I had to reboot due to no wifi. Luckily it was just a reboot, however I don't believe that I should have had to reboot so quickly. The range is decent. The web interface was easy enough but it wasn't the usual IP address, which is good. I think I'll receive my judgement until it's been running a while.

Not as advertised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Advertises at least gig. My phone Wi-Fi settings indicates 800mbps sitting next to it. Speedtest.net shows 400 or so. So far, not working any better than sb6183? w Eeros. Paying for gig speeds... Far from it.
