works great and saves us the cost of monthly renting a modem from cable company

The top 5g Ethernet cable is no longer usable it seem to have burned out only after 2 month

I’ve been on the phone with Arris and Xfinity too many times since I purchased this modem/router almost 2 years ago. Since it’s still under the 2 year mark, I finally insisted with Arris that I needed a new one and they just sent it. I had to pay for it ($200) plus $20 in shipping but the agent told me I’d get a refund once they receive my old product. My main problem was that Arris said the signal levels were off, which is why I kept losing internet connection. Xfinity came out to fix the signal levels twice, adding a splitter on the outside, then on the inside of my house. Both times they said they could not reach the ideal signal levels that Arris insisted they should be at. I’m almost ready to give up and pay the $14 per month rental fee for Xfinity’s gateway. But I’m so against the idea of renting something we should be able to buy. So far the new arris is working without as many event logs.

Easy install and works great ! Does not get too hot in usage.

Newer, quicker and you own it. Never rent an old outdated puke slow modem again.

so far it is working holding xfinity wifi up. Unless of course there's outages on there end

The device is good. Not too difficult to install. The McAfee application that is associated with it for parental controls is not user friendly. Was able to do initial setup of the application using my android mobile device. Logged out of my account and have not been able to log back into it since. Set the modem back to default settings. Tried to reconnect my mobile device after reconfiguring the settings on the modem and the application is not allowing me to connect to the modem. Did some research of the application and did not see any positive reviews of the application. Would not recommend this device to those that are solely purchasing it for the parental controls. If your not concerned with the parental controls than I would recommend it.
