This Arris gateway has eliminated my need for a wifi extender to reach my bedroom devices. I really like the function that allows it to determine where and when signal is needed. The only negative I have experienced so far is having to call xfinity for the initial set up.

It does what it is suppose to do and the security feature will let you know if an unidentified device tries to connect to your network. Other wise it is fast and functions as intended. I mostly went for this device because of the inclusion of the gigabit wired networking. I needed to be able to have high speed connection to my other network switch and home server. The setup can be complicated if you attempt setting up manually for advanced options. It is possible to just plug and play if you don’t want to add all the extra options such as MAC locking or SSID hiding and such. The coverage area of the network can vary depending on walls and other fixtures between you and the router, but for the most part it covers over 1000 sq ft of my living area which is most of my house. I have a second router to cover the shop and yard that is outside the range of the main router which does not have speed lost thanks to the gigabit wired networking that I mentioned before.

After upgrading to faster internet speeds (400 mbps), we needed to upgrade equipment. When we learned that this modem was compatible with our internet servicer and upgraded speeds, obviously we made the purchase and the rest is history. Similar to its predecessors, this device a performs well in terms of internet speed.

This combination modem/router saves a lot of space.I am finally able to get the download speed (150 MBS) that I am paying Cox for. However, I went to upgrade my speed to 500 mbs and Cox said that this new modem/router is not compatible with it even though it says it goes up to 600. Also, it takes forever to reboot when needed.

I've had mine installed for the last month. No issues at all. Wifi connects fast and has been very reliable. Upload/download speeds are great. Works everywhere in my apartment. Set up was easy, too. Basically a solid piece of equipment!

This is an excellent product. Great combo modem router. It's powerful and fast. Handles anything I throw at it. Handles multiple tablets, streaming TV, phones, & gaming with ease. Pretty good price for it too. Especially compared to doing a combination of separate router and modem which may or may not be just as powerful. Easy set up as well.

This ARRIS Modem/Router combo is the way to go. Works great with Xfinity, and a house with 2 stories. 5GHz doesn't reach on all corners of the house. However the 2.4 GHz reaches good enough speeds to be fully satisfied. Never have any problems with dropped signals.

What a difference this made. My new Sony x90j was buffering all the time. My old router combo was 5 yrs old so I thought I would see if a newer one would help. What a difference, since I purchased it I think it might have buffered only one time

I needed to replace my old modem, but wanted something with at least 4 ports and both 2.4 GHz and 5GHz channels. This offered all of that at a fantastic price. While I have game systems wired to the modem, device connected on the 5GHz channel are getting fantastic speeds.

Bought to replace cable providers router, and has not disappointed! Actually i think speeds are faster, no more lag or dropping service. All the devices in the house work with no probs. Easy install, plus theres an app. A+++

The router modem has a nice sleek look to it.a nice black finish looks good in my home office.was easy to inbox and even easier to hook up ! The price was very fair and the Best Buy employee very helpful.i would recommend this to a friend and am very happy with my purchase.

This was super easy to install, basically plug and play then change the passwords on all the devices. I purchase it as my old modem/router was close to 10 years old and I have multiple devices in the house. I highly recommend this as an update to Comcast Xfinity Internet.

Easy setup. Reliable connection. I connect my TV directly and use the rest of equipment on WiFi.

It's a solid two in one option for convenience in home. I still receive some connectivity difficulties in home; however I can't fault the modem entirely as it could be general internet speeds.

Needed to go faster than the modem supplied by the service provider. Easy setup but had to call support because after calling the provider to set the address, the provider screwed up the WiFi router part and support had to refigure it. Excellent service support!

I am so glad I purchased this modem/router combo and let my rented unit go back to my cable company. I can't believe how fast this unit is. I have seven pieces that use the router and only two are ethernet. Plus I have three external cameras that are also using wi-fi. I have not experienced any problems with slowness. Finally a good decision on my part.

the arris cable modem fixed our problem and now we enjoy great coverage throughout the house. Also it was easy to set up.

I don't know how much was the router/modem or just my internet, but when I upgraded to the Arris my internet speed is actually what I pay for now. Set up was pretty easy with a few calls to customer support to get the activation going.
