This product delivers as it should deliver. We bought it to avoid the high cost of cable companies wanting us to rent one. It will pay for itself in a few months!

I had a terrible time getting it activated with Comcast, and my Blink camera kept dropping off for over a week too. Now it’s running good and everything is better.

Finally got rid of the Comcast pay forever plan and got excellent speed performance at the same time. Install process and registration process both straight forward and easy.

WORK GOOD BUT SOMETIMES HAVE PROBLEMS USING INTERNET IN FRONT ROOM AND THE RING GARAGE FLOOD LAMP HAS A HARD TIME PICKING UP LIVE FEED. WE HAD A NET GEAR FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS THEN IT STARTED GOING OUT AND WE HAD BOUGHT THE BEST BUY WARRENTY SO THEY SWITCHED IT OUT FOR FREE BUT DIDNT HAVE THE SAME NET GEAR SO THE SALES GUY SUGGESTED THIS ONE.

Was having issues with old modem having to restart it and this modem solved that issue. No more restarting and the wi-fi signal is stronger even going thru multiple walls.

Arris surfboard preforms well. Wireless capabilities and several wired options for connectivity. Black exterior with blue lights make a nice looking unit. Unit runs cool.

Works well. Set up took a little longer than I wanted but Comcast might have had something to do with that. Owning a modem better than renting a modem from Comcast.

The modem would only acquire an IPv6 prefix via prefix delegation. It wouldn't acquire an IPv4 address via DHCP (for the WAN interface). I could get to sites that used IPv6 (like Facebook, Google, Yahoo!, etc) but not sites which only used IPv4. From what I could tell, through the admin console information, was that it wasn't even attempting to acquire an IPv4 address (even though it was clearly configured to do so) but the logging capabilities were so limited that I couldn't say for sure that it wasn't sending a dhcp request. I factory reset the modem several times. I tried enabling static and then switching back to DHCP. Nothing worked. I drove to the local Xfinity store and they rebuilt/provisioned the service with the new modem's info. Still didn't work. The ISP sent a tech out to my house the following day and he couldn't resolve the issue (after he re-provisioned). I finally just threw up my hands and returned the modem to the store and picked up a Netgear. Had I known that this was going to be my experience I probably would have kept renting. Factoring in the time I spent and the money I spent I'll need at least 3 years out of my Netgear just to break even. How much beyond that before I need to upgrade wifi? It probably wasn't worth the trouble to (eventually) save a few dollars. If you want to bring your own device then brace yourself for a very miserable experience if anything goes wrong. The modem manufacturer will blame the carrier and the carrier will blame the modem manufacturer and you'll feel stuck in the middle.

Repaced an older Arris Motorola unit. This one has proved to be a stronger wireless unit and holds the internet much better. I have not had to reboot once.

Steer clear of Arris, bad customer service

Product only worked 9-10 months, then started rebooting itself and killing the network, frequency up to every 20 minutes. Arris customer service was awful, just said would replace, but it’s either ship the bad one to them and wait another WEEK after that to receive the new one, or pay up to $50 plus tax to get one shipped first. Then the email with payment info never showed up, so another 45 minutes on the chat to finally get that, and then the payment system wouldn’t take my card. I give up, ordering another brand. Will steer clear of Arris in the future.
