Not sure how to rate it. I bought it to replace RCN's obsolete modem/router that you can't even buy anymore due to their age. Between the info from reviews (not always complete so inaccurate) and RCN's information for compatibility on the internet (left out a critical piece of info), I got ripped off by a combo of RCN and maybe Arris. I really thought I had everything covered by doing massive research. Best Buy was super in easily accepting the return. I'm rating it a 3 but if it actually was fully compatible, I'd probably have loved it. RCN's compatibility chart (and customer support) didn't mention that it won't work with folks who have Tivo unless you buy more accessories (more expense) to add to our setup. I could pay RCN for a service call+the accessories making it totally cost prohibitive and a total waste of my time.

I got this modem since I did not want to rent my cable modem and I also wanted to control my modem as I wanted, it has worked great unfortunately it does not have long range and it is slow and choppy. if it is connected directly to the modem then it is fast, I connected my TV and other things directly to this modem and they work great. just the WiFi is not the best, I had to get a router that is fast and traveled further.

Product works great. Cheaper to buy router modem than rent through internet service provider. Great choice!

I had to upgrade my modem because I upgraded my internet service to 400 down 20 up. We have many devices that run on our network and this handles them all with ease. My biggest concern was to make sure that the devices in my house were running at our new found internet speed and to my surprise they are. I am happy with all the capabilities this offers although they don't wrap it all up in a neat little package like Linksys does but it will do everything you need it to.

This modem router is Cox friendly. It took some time on the phone for cox to connect to it, but ever since then, it has been running smoothly. Best Buy folks say this will be compatible with the next higher speed of internet, if and when it becomes available to the general public.

I did an exhaustive search of cable modems recently after upgrading my internet service. This modem was one of many certified for use with my provider and seemed to offer the best performance for the money. Setup was very easy and it has been performing well for my 600 Mbps internet service. I also found the wifi signal to be quite strong and it reaches all areas of my 2700 sq ft single level home.
