was easy to setup--with computer off-plug in to wall, connect cable wire, turn on computer, done!! if you have router, then connect that after initial setup is complete. simple! works with charter communications in MA. I want my own modem, not theirs. I've always had my own, but they said i had to have theirs, cuz it was now using Docsis 3.0 and mine was only 2.0. I tried theirs, kept loosing connection, made them take it back (loop hole - i've had mine since before 2012, so they couldn't refuse me my own again). This Motorolla works great so far, glad i got it!! there is a notice in speed, but not mind-blowing.IMPORTANT - have 2 ps3 consoles, 3 ipods, 1 laptop, 3 desktops all working with this modem and wi-fi router and still no issues!!

I think it earned the best seller for a reason, good price, good performance, very easy to install, works with comcast.

This product was easy to setup, connect and use. It delivers the wifi speeds to all connected devices greatly.

Purchased this modem online with in-store pickup after I upgraded my internet service plan. Easy to set up and configure. Reliable and fast, no issues thus far. My only criticism is with the in store pickup. Every time I go into this particular store, I feel as though I'm standing around like idiot until someone offers to assist. This last time, the employee servicing the pickup register was on the phone for a good 10 minutes before acknowledging I was even there....smh.

Don't let Comcast fool you into thinking you have to rent a modem from them. They have a list of all compatible modems (which their rep said didn't exist, but I later found it myself - right on their website) and this is one of the more recent models that are compatible. At rental fees of $30 a month, buying one of these up front will save you in the long run. You will have to call Comcast after installing to register the mac address of the modem but that's it.

The monthly charge for my Time Warner cable modem was going to be increased from $6 toy $8 per month. I read an article recommending supplying your own modem. The Time Warner web site recommended this modem would work on their system and it does. I do not have to reset the modem every couple of weeks. The speed and reliability is fine with no problems. Save yourself $$$. If it gives trouble in a couple of years, just buy a new one. Installation is easy.

My previous modem wasn't that old so I really wasn't expecting much of a speed boost. But my speeds have been consistently two to three times faster since installing this modem. The lights on the front are brighter, too, so I can easily tell if my internet connection isn't the best it could be because the connection light switches to an amber color. Even then the connection is great and reliable, it just lets me know that it's not at peak speeds.

The device was easy to install and works as it is suppose to. No negatives as far as I can see but we have only had it for about a month. Saves us from renting it from Time Warner and will pay itself off after a year of use - which seems a bit long for an item like this. Just hope it lasts that long otherwise we will lose money on the purchase technically.

Works perfect with my Comcast Xfinity service. The modem is in their approved modem list. After the install was performed at my home the same day I contacted Comcast and had this modem activated. The whole set up took 10 minutes. I am well satisfied with this High-Speed Cable Modem.

Out of the box and working within 10 minutes after cabe provider accepted new code. No problems.

Fairly priced. Simple setup and install; plug it in, connect to router, done*. (Of course, it would be quicker to set up 100% if the ISP bothered to tell you how to register it with them beforehand, to get online access quicker with it.) Three modems carried by Best Buy are on Cox's "Approved Modem" list. I went with this one because I know it will last a good while, like the older model I was using.

Purchased this on recommendation of a cable tech, When we brought it home it was easy to set up and to connect to our cable. With the installation of this little unit we are looking forward to saving some bucks on our cable service (YEAH) This unit is more compact and just as powerful as the rented cable unit.

This is a great modem, if you want to buy your own. This is easy to set up and fast.

I was tired of paying TWC a monthly cable modem rental fee, so I got this Arris - SURFboard Docsis 3.0 High-Speed Cable Modem - Black from Best Buy. It took less than 2 minutes to setup and 15 minutes waiting for TWC tech to enter the MAC address. It works great and pays for it self less than a year.

Since this was the "official Xfinity" modem we went with it even though it was a bit more expensive than the others. Worked great and was very easy to set up. I was upgrading my moms home network for her and wanted to be sure she had the best and easiest equipment. It good because when you have to call Comcast tech support they know exactly how to help you with this modem.

Works great with Comcast high speed internet. No issues, blazing fast. Worked right away, just need to call Comcast and give the serial number to activate. Way better than paying to rent one every month.

Went in search of a replacement modem for my home system and the Motorola Sufboard 3.0 modem was recommended by our sales representative at Best Buy. He was right, it is the best modem for good price. Very pleased with performance so far.
