Excellent cable model / wi-fi router combo

I am very pleased with my purchase of this cable modem / wifi router combo, as it is an excellent product. It has worked well ever since I called Xfinity, which had to disconnect (electronically, and remotely from its offices) the cable modem I had been renting from them) and give them the modem ID info for my new modem--but there were no instructions telling me I had to do so, so I tried 3 or 4 times for an hour or so, unsuccessfully, since it seemed from the instructions that it would be automatically 'read' by my merely connecting it. Once that was clear and done, it's been perfect.

Great upgrade to the ARRIS Surfboard DOCSIS 3.1

Since upgrading to the Arris Surfboard DOCSIS 3.1 my constant and repeated daily internet drops throughout the day have ceased. My only regret is that Suddenlink is my only available provider with speeds over 100 mbps, and that their technical support has been outsourced to India and is so sporadic and lacking. It took me 7 months to finally get a tech that told me that Suddenlink had directed me to the wrong modem/router, and that I needed DOCSIS 3.1 rather than 3.0. Problem solved.

It works as advertised. We really like not having two separate devices and associated cables.

Easy to set up. Works flawlessly at speeds of 938 Mbps down and 24 Mbps up. Both the 5 & 2.5 channels provide great coverage in a 3000 sq ft three story home with the modem on the top floor. Got a great Best Buy sale price and it will pay for itself quickly vs monthly rental payments to Xfinity.

This modem router is really great now. At first when I hooked it up the speed was really fast and then it started to lag after a few days. I kept testing my speed and it was slower than with my old modem. But now it is much faster than my old modem and getting great results. I just hope it continues.

Had to have the DOCSIS 3.1 when I upgraded my internet speed. Setup for this Modem was a breeze using the available app. It handles 10 wireless and 2 wired devices in my household like a champ.

Arris - Faster but WiFi range less than desired

Good product. The app needs work, not user friendly to navigate. Download speeds markedly faster. Not quite as good of range as my previous Netgear Nighthawk, but I’ve gained shelf space reducing down to one device for modem and router. It went on sale $50 off just after my return date closed.

Previously, we had the same brand 3.0 modem. However, we started having WIFI issues everyday. We switched to this product (3.1) and our internet is super fast, and dont have issues with WiFi ANY MORE.

Works great. Speeds always stay between 800-900 up and 25-30 down with no issue at all. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to save space with a combo.

I bought this modem to replace my old one and it has worked great thus far. I have had zero internet issues since ive hooked it up and it has worked far better than i had anticipated. It manages to keep everything flowing seamlessly here with no hiccups. I plan to get more items like this in the future after trying this out. It comes neatly packaged and the instructions included for setting it up are thorough and clear. It is very user friendly, easy to use and wont break the bank. I would say if you have a decent sized house and or do a lot of gaming this is for you as it pushes out a strong wifi signal and it stays steady.

Love this router. I felt it was easier to buy my own instead of renting one from Cox Communications. I haven't had to reset it in the almost year since I purchased it.

After doing considerable research for features and price comparison, I decided to go with this cable modem wifi router which is very easy to setup with the instructions came with it. Do you know you can recycle your old modem for 15% coupon at Bestbuy? That sweetened the deal. Even more!!! No issues and performance as expected.

it was more expensive than most of the routers but it works like a charm! it has a great range and it does everything I need it to. the best part is I'm not held ransom to the cable company for one of their funky modems.
I did have one ISSUE that the modem didn't clarify. I needed to call the cable company to update the darn thing. It wasn't a deal breaker but I had to call it in and trouble shoot it. After 20 minutes it was good to go.
