Router modem works amazing. Able to fully utilize the 300mbps speed of my plan.

This took our internet to another level! We have many devices connected including a doorbell and an outdoors camera and this modem made it VERY easy to create and customize a guest network to connect the data hungry cameras and have our main network for our other devices. I haven’t had any issues so far with it and have owned it for 3 months. I made the investment because I plan to have this modem for years and keep using it with frontier.

There must be an issue with this product/brand concerning Xfinity/Comcast ISP. It works great when it works, but for no apparent reason the connection drops usually for about 2 to 10 minutes and it happens everyday several times a day. It's new and we've been using it now for a few days. We called the device manufacturer, we called Xfinity, we ran the self-service troubleshooting, restarted modem, unplugged it, replaced the coax... all the usual steps taken from home. No solution to the dropped connections! I don't think it's defective either, rather it's something to do with the brand and compatibility with Xfinity? Probably will need to take it back. I'll see what the people at BestBuy think about it. If your student is participating in instructor-led online classes or if you're working from home, dropped connections is going to be a problem.

Works excellent and is easy to set up. Basically doubled my download speed.

This was recommended by XFinity so I bought it (paid $300+), thinking it would make my 600 Mbps internet service faster. Set up was fairly easy (needed to call XFinity TS to activate the modem). Ran speed test (hard-wired) and it only improved by 20 Mbps (from 260 Mbps with the previous DOCSIS 3.0 modem to 280 Mbps with this 3.1 Arris). The bad part was this modem/ router intermittently lost connection at least 2x/ week. Definitely not worth the money I paid for it, so I returned it. It seems the only way you can get close to the advertised speed (or at least half of it) of your XFinity internet service is if you use their own modem.

Great modem to use with xfinty internet save money on renting there modem and works as good or better then there did.
