I had 2 days of nightmares with a netgear modem and router and countless hours dealing with customer services to get 200mpbs. Returned it and bought this one and set it up and right out the box 950mbps . So much easier and simple vs netgear products.

Really like the surfboard does everything i need to do all in one package. very fast and easy setup. Very happy with my purchase and highly recommend it to buying this Arris surfboard .

It works. There was a slight speed increase. I don't really think the price tag was worth the slight increase. But, it works and was easy to install.

Having experience with the brand before, needed to install for my inlaws which was no greater challenge than before. limited directions to get me to success and with a little help from the cable company, made the transition from a cable company owned router to this one, saving them $12.50 per month in leasing! Well worth the investment.

This modem/route combo replaced our previous separate modem and router. The signal strength is much better, and it doesn't require constant resetting like our last setup. I would definitely recommend this.

Works great. So easy to install and many forms of security available. Runs at advertised speeds and good coverage thru-out the house

We went months with our internet (Spectrum) constantly down. Multiple technicians, rewired our home, changed out equipment including a new modem. Nothing worked. I had my own Netgear router. I bought the Linksis router mesh system. Didn't stop us from continually dropping. Then I bought this Arris Surfboard combo modem/router. Not only has our internet not dropped (not once) but I was able to plug both my Netgear router and the Linksys mesh system into the back of the Surfboard giving me 5 to choose from. 3 - 5g's and 2 - 2 ghz. Each item in my home has a dedicated internet. Best decision I could have made and I highly recommended the Arris Surfboard modem/router combo.

Arris modem/router works great. Easy to setup. Compact form is unobtrusive in my room. I can connect to the internet from any room in my home and from outside on my property. I am very satisfied with the device.

I was happy to upgrade to a 3.1 DOCSIS. Really fast. Had some minor issues, I had to restart at the modem a few times per day but now it’s working great. Was lucky to catch it on sale for 249.99

I am very pleased with my purchase of this cable modem / wifi router combo, as it is an excellent product. It has worked well ever since I called Xfinity, which had to disconnect (electronically, and remotely from its offices) the cable modem I had been renting from them) and give them the modem ID info for my new modem--but there were no instructions telling me I had to do so, so I tried 3 or 4 times for an hour or so, unsuccessfully, since it seemed from the instructions that it would be automatically 'read' by my merely connecting it. Once that was clear and done, it's been perfect.

Since upgrading to the Arris Surfboard DOCSIS 3.1 my constant and repeated daily internet drops throughout the day have ceased. My only regret is that Suddenlink is my only available provider with speeds over 100 mbps, and that their technical support has been outsourced to India and is so sporadic and lacking. It took me 7 months to finally get a tech that told me that Suddenlink had directed me to the wrong modem/router, and that I needed DOCSIS 3.1 rather than 3.0. Problem solved.

I recently purchased the ARRIS - SURFboard DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem & Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router for Xfinity and Cox service tiers - Black. I had upgraded my internet speed and required a new modem/router. I had an Arris before but it was older and needed a new modem/router to handle the newer service. The one I received from the cable provider kept randomly booting my wi-fi devices off line. I have approx 20- 30 wi-fi devices. I decided to purchase my own and went with this model. I am very happy with the item and all my wi-fi devices are online ALL the time. I have not had a problem since.

This unit has good performance, and reasonable price.
