This modem was exactly what I was looking for and I love the look of it as well as how the lights on the front aren’t super bright either. Runs pretty cool and gets me more than enough speed. I have a 600 MB plan and when doing an Xfinity speed test connected directly to my Linksys router, I actually get over 600 MB with the test. On my phone, I get up to 450 MB with an iPhone 11 Pro, Downloading anything is even faster now and much smoother no matter the file size. Setting up the modem was also relatively easy. At least for me, I was able to set it up through the Xfinity app without having to talk to anybody at all. There are 2 gigabit outputs on the back and the second one you do have to contact xfinity to get it activated. But at the moment, I have enough hook ups with my router so I didn’t bother with that yet. Also I don’t have an actual phone to hook up to it yet, but the phone icon is lit up on it and I have a phone number which it shows through the app, so I’m assuming I’m all ready to go if I want to hook a phone up to it. So it’s nice to know I have that option now if I ever need it. I don’t currently work from home, so I don’t need it at the moment. Definitely recommend though and worth the money. It’s also 3.1 DOCSIS so at least you’ll be set for awhile with this one even if you don’t need it right now. It will get you all the speed you need and comes with 2 VOIP phone jacks and 2 Gigabit ports which is nice.

Ever since it was installed, there was a big difference in speed over my old router. It has been very solid performer with my Comcast Extreme Pro speed (600 Mbps).

Comcast upgraded my Blast! speeds from 200 Mbit to 300 Mbit so I needed a new eMTA. I wanted DOCSIS 3.1, so this was my best option. I am now getting the speeds that are advertised. I had to call Comcast to get it activated, but that didn't take much time. All I had to do was give them the MAC address from the bottom of the modem.

Difficult to establish Xfinity voice service, does not automatically set up with Xfinity as advertised, but once Comcast finally got it remotely configured with their system, rock solid, reliable, with excellent VOIP voice quality. I highly recommend, but you will have a 30+ minute service outage until Comcast gets it remotely set up. You also have two separate MAC addresses for the device - I apparently gave Comcast the wrong one which delayed my service.

ARRIS DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem for Internet/Voice

We switched our modem to this DOCSIS 3.1 modem to take advantage of a Xfinity Gigabit connection and have been quite pleased. Our choice of this cable modem was driven by DOCSIS 3.1, and the need to have a combined voice and internet capability. Setup was straightforward (although, as expected, did need a call to Comcast to authorize and register the new modem). The service since then has been reliable - had to reset the modem through a Comcast signal a couple of times due to outages but this may not have been due to the modem.

    Honest Review - False Advertising?

I totally agree, paying over $200 ($224) up front is alot but 10Gb future plans from it is a great deal. Almost went with Netgear CM1150V myself to try something different from Arris but again, at 2Gb. Not worth it while we get added stuff around Tech reaching nearing 48Gb 8K-10K hdmi cables. If there is really a notice difference from those besides if there's any market propaganda in there. The problem at the current moment at this time, No Router I've seen has contain 2GB Nic's built in except maybe a few Netgears Gaming router only having 1 at 10Gb Nics while the rest having 1Gb Nics (total of 6 nics maybe). 1Gb Nics been around since routers like Apple Extreme 5 Gen (current Apple Extreme 6 Gen Discontinued) - 6Gen Still contains 1Gb Nics. Which leads me to the other problem that I have notice on this products Aris T25 description. Says 10Gb's but with 2 -1Gb Nics. Now lets think about this clearly, How can it run at 10Gbps on this modem with 1Gb Nics? How can you distribute amazing 10Gbps on the coxial cable onto 1Gb Nics? And they say they support up to 2Gbps since ISP's are still rolling out 1-2GB plans to people around the country. Has anyone tested the Nic themselves from one pc to the other with a NIC card contain 10Gb to see if they really truly in fact have 10Gb speeds?? That's the real question there. Has anyone tried hooking 2 pc's together using this T25 Modem 2 Nics only without hooking to comcast yet with 10GB Nic cards added to there PCI slots to actually test that theory yet? What would the results be? And would it be the same after being hooked to comcast after unpluging the coxial cable? And the other problem with this modem is, what's the password under advance? Whats so secret that needs a Password Protected? Met to look further before I had set it up with Comcast and now its to late, Perhaps someone could let me know and post a screen shot for me and others to see bc there pdf file from arris doesn't mention about this section of this modem at all. If its for ISP, then what pre-tail is it? Private concerns. Phones aspects? Some say I'm just being paranoid and not worry about it or some kind of conspiracy or bad Advertising? But this is my honest Review for this product, Its how you take the information in. The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. (Ba-Dum-Ts) or is it? idk. idc. I hooked it up and was ready 5-10mins for checking speed plan. May take 20-30mins to really see the speed difference as it catches up. The Display page is very basic compared with other Arris modems of the past. Overall, 4 Stars. Probably really should give it 3 Stars. After typing all this down. or will this be review removed? Q. when will there be a Linux Rapsberry Pi type device with a coaxial for being the modem? haha, keep dreaming, LOL

The product was surprisingly extremly easy to setup and activate. I plugged it in, ran an ethernet cable directly to my computer, opened Internet explorer and the activation web page automatically opened. Followed the instructions and within 10 minutes I was online. No need to call Comcast. My voice service was also automatically set up. I've never had an install this easy. Every time I activated a leased modem from the cable company it was atleast a 45 min process. My only gripe is that though there are two ehternet jacks in the back, only one works. You have to set up a second ip address for the second jack which your isp will charge you for. So far though, the modem has worked extremly well. I get exactly and sometimes a little higher than than the 600 mgbt per second tier that I am paying for. The leased modem would bottle neck at 250. Works very well with a Google nest setup. Im otherwise very happy with my purchase.

    Good router, slightly misleading specs.

Good router overall but the specs are kinda deceiving. The router advertised 2gbps max download speed. To do this though, you have to enable what's called, link aggregation and have a router that supports both link aggregation and has a 2.5gbps ethernet port. You also then have to call Xfinity and have them enable the second ethernet port. Basically, since the modem only has 2 1gbps ethernet ports link aggregation syncs both ports so they work together to give your router 2gbps. Certainly not straightforward forward and the average user will have no idea how to do any of it. Had to find a specific version of the manual to even find out how to enable it in the modem settings. When I went to the settings there was no option to enable link aggregation for me or tweak the front panel lights like the manual showed. I got the modem to future-proof me for speed upgrades but I'm having doubts about getting link aggregation to work when the time comes. Overall though it's working fine and does the job.

Had to get one of these after being annoyed spending 15 bucks a month on a rental unit from Comcast, it was really easy to set up it probably took about 15 minutes with the Xfinity app so I'm glad that it interfaces well with my phone lines and internet. Kind of annoying that Comcast only has three modem units that you're able to buy third-party and they're all over 150 bucks but I guess the phone line feature it's special and requires additional hardware. I would definitely recommend getting something cheaper if you don't have a phone line

I upgraded our internet and our old ARRIS SURFboard (docsis 3.0) wasn't going to give us the higher speeds, so I bought this modem. I've been buying different models of ARRIS SURFboard and they've always served me well! This one has two Ethernet ports on the back. Not sure why I splurged on that because we don't use voice. Still, a very good product, easy to order ahead and pick up in store, and they price matched with Target, which had a sale at the time I picked this up. I definitely recommend buying this instead of renting a modem from your internet service provider.

Finally! An ARRIS product that you can buy in a retail store that also has the voice ports!!!! I elated to say the least, and so far this modem has been great. There was a slight issue at setup with Comcast where they provisioned the modem incorrectly and I had to get my call escalated for them to delete the modem from their provisioning system and then re-add it into their system, but once they did that, it has been rock solid since! And needless to say, this wasn't ARRIS's fault at all for initial setup, it was the XFINITY technician's I was dealing with but once I got to a more experience technician, everything was good. I don't think you can go wrong with this modem. It supports 1 Gig easily.

Very pleased with this purchase. Setup was quite easy and the speed achieved was better than it had been with the Comcast rental unit. Also, this was one of the few WiFi modems which had an output for VOIP. Note that this is a standalone modem and requires a separate router for internet functionality.

I got tired of paying the Comcast modem rental fees, and I already had a Netgear Nighthawk router, so I purchased this modem in January. My internet connection is actually more solid with this modem than with the gateway I was paying $14/month for! The setup is a breeze, and you can activate it right through the Comcast website. I initially had some trouble getting the security system to sync properly, but I resolved the issue by restarting all of the modems/routers at the same time. The Xfinity home router is plugged into the Netgear router, which is the only device connected to the Arris router via Ethernet. The fax machine works as well as it ever had with the telephone jack. Would highly recommend to others.

We have been paying the monthly equipment rental for xfinity modem for YEARS!!! We were constantly having to go in and swap with a different one every 6 or months, with issues starting after about a month or so. They just wouldn’t stay connected. Last straw was the new xf1 that was supposed to be the best ever. Replaced after 3 days and then never had a full connectivity day after that. Had enough so we got this one and haven’t had one issue since!!!! So glad to have made this purchase!! Curbside pickup has it ready within 5 min
