I appreciate that I don’t need to pay rent for a modem anymore, but this unit requires a call into Comcast to activate. You cannot activate it yourself using the Xfinity app because the app cannot let you enter all needed information for the voice function. However, I was very happy once the tech got it to work.

I decided to buy this when I switched to Xfinity because the cost to rent their mode/router is $14.99/mo. This seemed way too high and decided it would be prouder to to BYOD. This was the modem that was in stock and compatible. Make sure you check the compatibility info on the Xfinity site prior to purchasing a modem.

This modem is compact and easy to set up. I am very pleased with its performance

Great purchase. I also purchased a new router to go along with my new modem. The performance went from 125 Mg to approx. 450 Mg.

I had absolutely no problem bringing this device online and registering with comcast. It has been a functioning for about a month now and (hopefully I won't jinx it) I had no issue with it. Kind of pricey though and it there was no black Friday price cut...

Xfinity was not able to initialize this modem, so I had to pick and rent a modem from Xfinity and return this one.

I bought this cable modem to upgrade/replace the modem/router I was renting each month from Xfinity. I was able to quickly replace the Xfinity modem with this one and it has worked flawlessly since. It has saved me $14/month in rental fees. I use my own mesh router so this modem was all that I needed.

Noticed an immediate improvement in download speed as well as keeping another piece of my office equipment updated. It also had a phone input which was a necessity for me.

I went from pulling over 500+ Mbps on my xfinity gigabit plan, to instantly getting over 850+. The thing that was a surprise was how fast every device got just by being connected to the internet. I'm not talking like web pages loading fast, but I mean it felt like a massive Ram boost. Completely changed my PS4 my s20+ galaxy and my Samsung laptop. A+

Got here fast would have been an upgrade from what cox gave me but if you have a land line phone with them you can’t buy one. Only rent. If your isp lets you buy one its great.
