This router/modem works well when it works with fast speeds and good strong connection. However, there is a reported issue with Xfinity and Arris that disconnects devices because of internal wifi lane congestion. This happens about once or twice a day and I have to reboot the router to get everything working again. They are supposedly working on a firmware fix but it has not come out yet to resolve this issue. I will be looking for other options.

If you've never set up an Arris model before, be prepared to spend some extra time figuring out how. Instructions are not as user friendly as previous/cheaper models as I assume people would gravitate towards the cheaper product. I bought this because it was supposed to be compatible with my xfinity high speed internet. It was noticeably faster but only works when it wants to. The Wi-Fi cuts out too many times which was inhibiting me from working at home. I was not able to stream movies sometimes. Once I switched back to my older arris modem and xfinity modem, it worked fine. Not worth the headache and money. I shouldn't have to call for support. For that amount of money, it should be plugged in and ready to go after set up.

Purchased Arris-Surfboard and a new surge protector after a double surge took out old unit. Easy to set-up and works fine.

Good, the internet running very good and the signal is better in all house.

I use Cox, I have to call them to get it installed. They don't have this model in their installation list. They helped me over the phone for more than an hour. On the first day it was not working. On the second day, it automatically worked.

I've had this modem for a while now and have been happy with it's performance. The price was great compared to other products out there with similar capabilities/maximum speeds. Seems this modem should support speed upgrades for at least a few years ahead.

This surfboard was easy to set up thanks to the Arris app. I was up and running—even with my ISP’s assistance—in less than 45 minutes. And I’m not computer savvy! Only my old printer needed a nudge to connect wirelessly; every other device quickly picked up the connection. I have checked the app every day since the installation and all devices are still connected to the Internet.

So far so good! Easy to install and performance has been great with Xfinity 1 Gbps service.

Works great. Had to contact Xfinity to help me set it up. Wasn’t able to do it myself. So far, so good. I’d give it a 5 except I don’t know how it will work long term.

Works good on cox internet did not have in trouble setting it up.

I bought this to replace my old cable modem to get faster speeds. So glad i got this unit. It replaced my entire home network gear. The built in wireless was so strong i no longer needed my old access point extenders and i have blazing speeds now through out the whole house with just this one device. All i can say is WOW!

This modem was fast, when it worked. However, we had to reset it multiple times per day while we had it. It wasn’t worth the price.

It worked fine for about 8 months and then suddenly my speeds dropped randomly and lost internet connection all the time. I contacted Xfinity dozens of time and even had a tech come out and we tested literally everything and it was this modem that was causing all of the problems. The app is a joke and constantly forgets all of your information. The company is an even bigger joke. good luck getting any help if you need it. the best you will get is a forum where they tell you to reset the router and unplug and plug it back in. DO NOT BUY THIS. They do literally anything to get out of honoring your warranty. A complete waste of money and it costs a lot!!!

Replacement for my old modem which was no longer supported by Cox. Mistakenly purchased thinking this was just a modem. It is a Modem /Router. By the time I figured it out it was too late to return it. Hooked it up anyway and plugged in the Google home router and turned of the built in Router. Works good, but I’m sure I would have saved some money if it was only a modem.
