We bought this modem after Comcast boosted our speed, and we weren't getting the subscribed speed with our old modem. The speed increase with this modem was quite noticeable. The modem was easy to install and has been working perfectly.

Simple install and had worked flawlessly. My only complaint is you cannot access the modem admin panel unless you disconnect it from the service provider. Replaced a failing two year old netgear device.

Choose this Arris Modem over many other options. Compatible with my Comcast plan and light is at a minimum (previous modem was like lit like a disco ball). Does run a bit warm but NOT overly concerned about that. Easy to set up.

I replaced an older Arris modem/router with separate pieces and to take advantage of my 400 Mbps service as my old modem was only good to 300 Mbps. I had read several online reviews/warnings that it could be difficult to provision the S33 with Xfinity service. However, I had no troubles using the Quick Start method. No calls to Xfinity or Arris as some others experienced.

Solid choice for a DOCSIS 3.1 modem. Sadly I have Xfinity/Comcast service and was using a SB6183, which worked great. My package was upgraded to their 400mb service and the old modem couldn’t support the speeds. The setup on this was easy and has been working as expected since install. This modem allows up to 8 upstream channels to be locked which helps the modem stay connected even with ingress present on a node. For the folks that care, this modem offers more detailed logging within the webui, also has a restart button too.

Upgraded from old school Moto that was capped out @130MB. Super easy install(Spectrum), took no more than 5 minutes. Capable of insane speeds, definitely future proof. Small, sleek, attractive, and led isn’t too intrusive. Very pleased!

It Connected easily and i get over 2 gig down but still only get 40 meg up so i take 1 star away for that. As usual Arris and Cox are pointing fingers at each other as the cause for the slow uploads.

do not want to rent "modem" from cable company so I looked at some that they said were compatable with their system. I chose this arris model and it has been working fine for several years. It has paid for itself by not having to rent one from the cable company.

Pros: As fast as DOCSYS 3.1 gets (maybe?); works well with the BE15000 router that was purchased during the same in store transaction. (Jason at the Salem Best Buy was critical in helping make my final decision. He explaned a more details than I was expecting. Jason had also bought one himself in the past but had gone woth a mesh system. I let my wallet make thr judgment call there as the eero are expensive but i wanted Wifi 7.) Cons: Thermals might be perfect as it gets very warm but the performance is great. Overall: I hope they make a model black. I love the single status light being on tge front that stops at a solid on state and is easy on the eyes at night.

This DOCSIS 3.1 modem works exactly as advertised. I've been using Arris modems for the last 7-8 years, and I've never been disappointed. The speed that comes across this modem is excellent. My router doesn't bottleneck it and I'm very happy with how my setup works using Cox's giga-blast internet service. The S33 modem just works. I use a standalone Netgear Nighthawk gaming modem to push wifi and when we lived in a house we used a Netgear 8 port gaming switch to push internet across cat6 cables to all of the fixed devices, such as TVs, DVD players, and computers, and my SB1608 had no problem handling that internet load. I can't wait for our new house to be built, because this should push much faster internet to those same devices.

    Great Modem with Xfinity Service

The modem is great, routinely connecting somewhere between 16 - 1200Mbps over Xfinity based on daily bandwidth testing from my security appliance, but the slow speeds seem to just be Xfinity's regular hiccups and problems. Setup took about an hour to complete, but it was about 15 minutes swapping in the modem/re-running the new cat6 cabling instead of my old 5e. Adding the modem via the Xfinity app added another 30-45 minutes before I was passing traffic, but that also appears to be an Xfinity issue.
