Purchased to replace a Netgear that died after a power outage, at the recommendation of Xfinity technician. Easy to install, works without a hitch, Was concerned it gets too hot but so far that has not happened.

Installation was OK for a device that rarely requires attention. i recommend that you D/L the manual before you switch to the new modem. Also copy down the MAC before you bury it in your system. You'll need it to register the device wiith your internet provider. Performance is great!

I replaced a netgear modem for this Arris model. I must say the speeds i'm getting have been awesome since replacing.

Great router and it does was it is supposed to. i replaced my router which was over 5 years old. Setup was very easy and I was up and running in a few minutes. I was impressed that this new router increased my speed by almost 300mbps. I run the router with an orbi mesh system. The arris s33 has 2 ports. I have one port used for home internet and the other port dedicated to my home alarm system

I have had zero issues with this modem since purchasing it over a year ago. The setup was easy as well.

Works great and is easy to trouble shoot. We’ve hooked up quite a few extenders and they have worked with no problems.

Wanted to replace my outdated Netgear modem as it could no longer keep up with my gigabit speed Internet plan. Bought this on sale and had the Best Buy recycle discount as well added. So the price was great! Installation was straightforward; plug and play, and activate via Xfinity. I was connected ands online in less than 15 mins.

This Cable modem is nice looking, and has worked flawlessly with my Cox Internet. Cox likes to fuss about customer-owned equipment sometimes when their network is having issues, but when they found out I had this device, we moved right along to a real solution. Plus it supports their highest speed offering as well. 2 Minute Install, and no issues at all. It received a firmware update in the first 5 minutes of being connected, all flawless. I had my previous Surfboard for a long long time. I'm glad I chose this particular modem, and I would recommend it to others.

Great modem. Significant improvement over their previous sb8200 which went through multiple hardware revisions. The 2.5gbps Ethernet plug provides future proofing for speeds at/over 1000mbps (standard Ethernet caps out around 940mbps). Small form factor looks nice, but it does cause the modem to run warmer than the competition (Motorola or Netgear). Will this damage anything long term? Only time will tell, but heat does increase attenuation... so just something to be mindful of when it comes to having your signals level out. Having only one indicator light may also be a con for some depending since it doesn’t give specific indicator lights for the various connections (downstream, upstream, traffic, etc).

It's a cable modem. Easy to setup through Xfinity using the Xfinity app. The Surfboard app is worthless, but the modem is reliable and much better than the Xfinity junk they give you.

I needed a Cable Modem that could handle Gb Speed, and this Arris is very good. Setup was easy, and it being really small is great.

So far this has been a good fast modem. Other reviews online I read said that it was a good reliable product.

The modem is lightning fast. Reasonable price. Easy to install in your network. The only problem I encountered is trying to get through a live technician to provision the modem from Comcast. Their automated system kept saying your modem is off line. After calling Comcast back 6 times over a two hour period I finally got through to a live technician. She had the modem up running and provisioned in less than 15 minutes. She had me do speed tests to make sure it was working good. The modem is great. Comcast customer service is pitiful.

Setup was very easy. Performs well, no hick-ups. Love the small compact size compared to my older modem.

The speed is definitely quicker than my old modem. The reason I am not giving 5 Stars is because I don't know if I sometimes lose Internet connection from my ISP, modem or computer.

Great modem for gig speed. Cool blue led light on the front. Simple design and great reliablity. Have not had to reboot it once.
