I did the mistake of first buying a NETGEAR cable modem to replace the one I was currently using (was a Aris modem also but needed one for Gig speeds at home) and boy was that a mistake. Returned that one and got this new one and it was a night a day difference. Super easy to install and activate and haven't had any issues since I have purchased and im getting my gig speeds as promised! Please! Do yourselves a favor and get the Aris ones! There worth the price!

v.good modem, i like it's compact size, and performance/speed so far is consistent both download and upload . I'm using it to replace and ORBI modem/router combo which used to drop frequently and had to restart once a week or so. but with the new SURFboard S33 it's not running for almost a month without any hiccups

Excellent modem for our high speed internet at home. We get all our speed and we have it connected to our Eero mesh router. We use Xfinity/Comcast as our internet provider and have not had any issues with it. It's nice and small but some might find its lightweight design cheap or hard to keep in one place.

Purchased this modem while upgrading to Xfinity gbps service. Using the mobile Xfinity app was easy and took 10 min to complete. This modem was paired with a Linksys MR9000 AC 3000 Tri-Band router. I've had success Arris modem-router combo's the past 3.5 yrs but opted for tbe 3.1 docsis modem only with a well priced and functional router. All in all took less than 30 minutes to upgrade my home-office network and average 940mbps down and 42 mgbs up speeds.

Unit works great. Outside case is very warm to the touch. Its only been a few months, hopefully it diesnt burn up.

My ISP provided me with a modem that was absolutely one of the worst things I’ve ever had. I did some research and found this one. It’s easy to install and easy to get up and running. I have not experienced any slow downs or disconnects. I highly recommend purchasing this!

Bought this modem as I was upgrading my home network. Easy install, fast, works perfect with Xfinity.

This modem works great and will be able to keep up with technology for at least the next 4-5 years. If your internet is slow dont waste money on getting the top end internet package. Upgrade your modem. You will see the difference. I had the old surfboard SB6183 on Spectrums lowest internet package. Couldnt stream anything without it buffering or being less than 420 pixel. Only thing I upgraded was this modem and now I can stream 4k on 2 tvs and being on 2 computers and have no problems while still on the lowest internet package. Great product.

I upgraded to this from an ARRIS SB8200 (which ran for years without issue) to take advantage of my faster than 1Gbps Internet speeds. Setup/provisioning was easy and I did not need to call Comcast Customer Support. ARRIS devices are very reliable and this one has been no different thus far. Stop paying modem rental fees and pick up your own.

Bought as a replacement for a Motorola modem, which kept dropping the signal, This one is fast and, so far, very reliable. Setup was fast and easy. Would definitely recommend, especially over Motorola.

Very happy with this purchase as we dive into next gen tech and capabilities I wanted to make sure I was giving my new gear the best chance for being able to perform to its abilities. So I upgraded my Cox Panoramic Wifi Modem to this one as the Cox modem caps out at 1Gbps. Not that my area has fiber optics as of yet but at least on my end everything is ready for the highest speeds available. Plus streaming and playing on games have been great.

I have owned five SURFboard cable modems in the past and have always found them very reliable. The setup continues to be simple and fast. My only reason for purchasing another SURFboard was to upgrade to my cable providers' new DOCSIS 3.1 standard and take advantage of its new features.

I upgraded my old model (8200) to this one thinking I will get the speed that Xfinity say I should get with my plan but after upgrading ethernet cables, LAN card on my computer and even the router the internet speed remain the same, maybe is an issue with me not the modem at all. The modem works perfectly, haven't had a single drop in weeks

Bought this to replace my Cox modem and the speeds have almost doubled without upgrading my internet package, and beats having to pay the rental price from Cox each month. Really easy to set up just contact your internet provider by calling them or using the app that most providers have to activate the modem and serial number on your account and then everything else just booted up right away. Very happy with my purchase.
