Solid performance so far. Easy setup via Xfinity app, no issues with connectivity once whitelisted. It does getr a little warm, but not hot. Hasn't been an issue so far (about a month online 24/7). Hopefully it lasts longer that the Netgear it's replacing. That thing was great, too, for about 18 months.

Just picked up this week. Was the same price as the SB8200. But this one had the 2.5Gps port (Wanted to get something future proof in case I decide to go GB upgrade) Setup was wonky. Had to call Spectrum. Took about 45 min. Their system wouldn't recognize the MAC ID or SN on the device. And couldn't activate it. Eventually it was able to connect on their end. Modem worked fine with computer hardwired in... but my wireless router (Airport Extreme 6th Gen) was having problems. After some resets and waiting for.. minutes... a lot of minutes, My Macbook finally recognized the green light of the modem in airport utility. Through an extended network to another (AE 6th gen) over 30 feet away through window to the other window. I'm on a 200mbps plan.

I am very pleased with this cable modem. It was easy to setup, works great, and has improved the speed of our entire home mesh WiFi network. It replaced an older ARRIS-Surfboard with out of date technology. It was worth the investment.

This guy is expensive. There are no buttons or anything and it's small so, the price might make you want to look at another product but, this little guy is a hard worker and a beast. With this guy you'll experience the actual speed of your internet and no drop outs like you do with the cable companies modem. Getting it to work with Suddenlink, (now Optimum) was surprisingly a breeze. I thought I'd be on the phone for hours but, it only took about 10-15 minutes max, maybe less time than that and most of that was just the guy connecting and validating the modem so it can work. After that set up was super simple, I have my gaming PC plugged directly into the S33 and I have no issues I also have my Asus router plugged in for wifi and it runs perfectly fine also. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

    ARRIS - SURFboard S33 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Multi-Gig

The ARRIS S33 is a better investment than the pricier Netgear counterpart. It’s the most compact Multi-Gig modem, measuring just ‎5.14 x 1.8 x 4.74 in and weighing less than a pound. Like all DOCSIS 3.1 modems, the SURFboard S33 can function as a top-tier DOCSIS 3.0 modem. You should use it only when you have a download speed of around 400Mbps or faster. That’s because certain low-speed cable plans require a DOCSIS 3.0 modem to work. The S33 is designed to work with a Wi-Fi 6 router, preferable one with a Multi-Gig WAN port. If you have a Wi-Fi 5 router, you will need to upgrade it or stick with a DOCSIS 3.0 modem. The S33 comes with a single large LED light on the front. This light changes its color to show the modem’s conditions. It has three colors: Amber - modem is off; Green means the modem is on and Flashing - firmware update is in process. Blue is only available in solid and means the modem is working well in DOCSIS 3.1 mode. This all depends on the internet plan you have. Make sure, though, that you have a Wi-Fi router that has a matching WAN speed.

This device does exactly what it is supposed to. Has a little bit of heat due to its size and design...however does not cause concern or drops.. why not other colors...(black would be nice and look cleaner for the closet). Xfinity sees the device pushes whatever updates to the device that is needed and just works. i beleive there are two variants to this... one that has only a 2.5gbe (v2).. and one that has both a 2.5gbe and 1gbe port (v1). i received the v1 Have xfinity 1.2 gbps (provisioned to 1.4)... router has 2.5gbe wan and it sees and links correctly. Nice feature LED shows or is illumianted when an issue is occuring..convinient.. GUI immediete status of modem for signal levels and noise without login. The surfboard app... only have device registered for warranty purposes.. have yet to find a use for the app. Stopped using xfinity hardware as i usually like owning my own devices. XB7 and XB8 are what they give out to customers now.. and they are fantastic for an all in one unit.. and they do exactly what they are meant to..

This is a great modem. Was super easy to install, minimum footprint and has worked seamlessly with my eero mesh router with speeds pretty reliably close to the 1GB I'm paying for.

Well here we go Here's the Arris S33 that I exchanged that Motorola for If you go to the review of the Motorola that would be the competing side you can see what I mean about the Motorola probably having a locked bootloader If you want user friendly connectivity I'd recommend the Arris over the Motorola If your ISP is listed on there and you're you know just gung ho about getting the Motorola then go for it I was just trying to switch teams from the 8200 since the Motorola 8600 was its counterpart last generation and I didn't realize it most likely has a locked bootloader and that's why it only works with certain ISPs Keep that in mind there's a price difference I believe the errors is cheaper It runs great I never had a problem with the original and any reason to stray I just wanted to try it Even if your ISP is listed on there I think Cox and a couple others around there you're better off just getting the airs cuz it's going to play nicely with those as well and if you ever move and you have to switch ISPs you're still going to have a modem that's going to work with essentially anything Think of it like having an unlocked bootloader on a phone. No compromises and performance. I was just curious ARRIS

The ARRIS SURFboard delivers fast, reliable internet with DOCSIS 3.1 support, ideal for streaming, gaming, and multi-device households. Its dual ports handle high-speed connections efficiently, while setup is straightforward. The sleek design fits any home, though the single LED status light may be confusing. Overall, a top-tier modem.

I was having issues with WiFi around my house. This solved every single one of my problems. Lightning fast speed, no more signal drops, didn’t take up a lot of space. If you’re thinking about it, get it.

This modem is very small. I lead with that because the cable it’s attached to topples it over unless I book-end it. That said, it is easy to set up and it is very fast. It works well with my mesh router system and saves on monthly rental fees. I upgraded from my old still working Arris because this one was compatible with Xfinity, my new internet provider. The app is easy to download and updates are automatic. There are other features, but I will leave those to the techies to highlight. Good value for the money.

Love the speed I got when booted up. Due to this model having heat issues(no vents on both sides) I'm having to shut down my modem every night so it can cool off. Arris is a good brand modem. I have had previous models but never one like this. As a rec ok mmandation if anyone does but this model is to plan to purchase a mini fan. Those like they have in deck top computers to cool out modem down while in use. That's fan is my next purchase.
