I bought this for use on Time Warner in South Texas. I have 50mbps down and 5mbps up. It works without issue and is supported with Time Warner. There is a newer 6190 model now but I went with this one since this area will not see those higher speeds for quite a while. The lights on this modem are bright in dark rooms (see pic). You may want to hide the modem or place something over the lights.

Upgraded my 5 year-old modem for the Arris. Internet carrier recommended it as one that works well with them. Easy to install. Called the carrier after installation and provided them the information they requested. Since then...no problems. Best Buy price was $20 less than cable internet company price

I purchased this cable modem after my previous one stopped working. This one by Motorola is noticeably faster and more reliable because my old modem would intermittently drop the connection, but I have not had any problems with this one. I would recommend this Motorola cable modem to anyone looking to replace or upgrade.

With is modem my internet is now super faster than before i was with att. I purchased on sale and happy with it. The internet speed i using with Comcast was great. It only took me less than 10 mins to configured with comcast and it was up and running. I using a classic apple time capsule router for my home wifi.

I chose to finally purchase my own modem and return it to oceanic cable. With the modem at the time being a year old, I could see that it started to bog down a little especially with the addition of a smart tv at our place. This modem was recommended to me as I have about eight devices at home that share one wireless network. This modem can definitely handle high demands of multiple HD video streaming/gaming on multiple devices at home. I did a test and was able to run a 4k youtube video on my tv, 720HD video on two phones, and stream another 1080HD video from youtube on my computer at the same time to see how this stress test would fair for the modem. It handled the load flawlessly two out of the three consecutive times I tried it out. I couldn't have been any happier with the purchase. Within a year this modem will have paid for itself with the money I saved from Oceanic's monthly rental fee.

I upgraded from a Motorola SB6121. Did not have any issues with my last modem, it just maxed out at roughly 170 mbps and this new modem will handle over 600 mbps. I have always been very happy with modems from Motorola and this model keeps me happy. They are durable, perform great, don't overheat and have a small footprint. Set it up and forget about it. It works in the background and works great.

Setup was simple. Just called cable Co, gave them them info on the sticker, and it worked. Speed is as good as old modem. The only downside is I wish I did it sooner. If you are tired of modem rental fees and don't need the cable Companys phone number then this will work for you (magic jack works great). I have optomim. Six stars * * * * * *

This is my second or third ARRIS SURFboard Modem. What can I say. They're easy to install and work great. The only reason I have replaced them is technology moves fast and they become out of date. The prior one was still working fine, but Comcast no longer supports it and this one had twice the channels so better speed.

I read reviews on this before I purchased it and they were all right! I had an older router and modem, probably about 3 years old and it died. So i read up on the top ones and this was one of them. I am extremely happy i made this purchase. My internet speed double and all the internet issues i had before are gone. Easy to set up and not bad looking either. Wish it came in black though.

This is one of the coolest modems I've ever had! It is quite small but packs a lot of power to do the job. I previously had separate products (modem & router), but had begun using combined products (two-in-one; modem & router). When one failed I had to buy the combo or go back to two separate products. I think this is the most economical in the long run.

I bought this to replace a netgear I purchased that died in less than 3 months. This has never given me any issues and made my internet so much faster. You don't know what a good modem will do until you go from a poor quality one to a higher priced one. Well worth the money! And it saves me the monthly rental fee since I don't use the one from spectrum.

I got this to replace my older DOCSIS 2 cable modem for my Comcast service. It increased my speed and is new enough tech that it should last a while before I need to replace it. Some people have commented that the lights on it can seem pretty bright (such as if you're watching TV with other lights off), but I have it in an office so there's no issue with that. Not a lot to say; it just works.

My modem got struck by lightning and Best Buy had just the thing to get me back up and running. I was able to get things going within minutes of unboxing. It was a breeze. Plus, it was actually an upgraded version of my old cable modem so now I'm enjoying faster speeds and more reliability on my home network. Highly recommend this little gem.

My cable provider notified me that my tier of service had been upgraded to a higher speed at no additional charge. However, my old cable modem did not support the higher speed (I owned my own cable modem rather than leasing). I purchased this cable modem and immediately upgraded my speed (almost triple)! Installation was simple and I have experienced no problems with this cable modem.

so far this modem has been a good modem with no problems over the last 9 months of owning it. why pay high prices from your cable company for renting there modem....I have time warner and it works well with them no issues and so easy to hook up less then 30 min. phone call to cable and your all done...worked so well I bought a second one for my gf and she loves it

This modem worked great. It was easy to setup and get online with Cable One and the speeds were better than my old one, which was stuck by lightning. Then lightning struck again and killed the new one only a month after I got it. Thank you Best Buy for offering an inexpensive replacement warranty. I was back up and running the same day.

I purchased this when I went back to cable from DSL. I have a 150/20 plan and my speed tests regularly ping 175/30. I'll be moving to 300/30 next month and fully expect the modem to not miss a beat. The one star deduction is for lighting. The modem lights up like a disco ball, throwing blue light every where. I had to route cable to get the modem into another room as it was too distracting where it was at, and you can't tuck it away as it gets toasty. Dim the lights on this thing and it would be perfect (well, make it black and dim lights to be perfect).

I bought to use with Xfinity (replacing an old modem). It works really well, was easy to set up. I followed the quick start instructions and Xfinity automatically activated and set up via their website. Ease of use is important to me and this definitely met my needs in that area.
