I bought to use with Xfinity (replacing an old modem). It works really well, was easy to set up. I followed the quick start instructions and Xfinity automatically activated and set up via their website. Ease of use is important to me and this definitely met my needs in that area.

Upgraded for DOCSIS 3 from the previous model, this one is as pain-free and reliable as the last. Best modem for the money.

I purchased this modem after being disappointed by the one provided by my internet company. The modem works perfectly with my Mesh Wi-Fi system. I have had no issues with this modem and it performs well for my home internet needs. The setup was easy to complete and the product meets my expectations.

Only been used for about one month and all seems to work well. Attached to a wireless router/firewall and no problem. I have another Arris cable modem in use for a couple of years now and still working fine. Renting one from the cable company didn’t make any sense after calculating the return on the investment would be in only about 6-7 months.

The SB6183 is a great modem. Bonds 16 channel for the fastest cables speeds of today. Easy to setup but required a call to cable company to get the correct configuration file. Make sure to keep a copy of your receipt just in case your cable company magically claims the modem is theirs after a year or so.

It was super easy to set this up. I just unplugged my old modem, plugged this one in. It took 10 minutes total to be up and running. I strongly recommend that you upgrade to this modem. It allows you to get the full speed that you are paying for from your internet provider. As long as you plan to use it for more than 2 years, it is definitely worth it to buy instead of rent.

My old modem supplied by my cable company was definitely under/performing, often delivering slow internet speed and often dropping the signal to my WiFi. I didn't realize I could replace it with my own until recently. My new modem from Best Buy has restored my internet speed and it's always connected! What a relief!! Plus my wife is happy!! :)

This modem was simple and quick to install and operates flawlessly. I have had it for about 5 weeks and it has produced consistent high speed, clean data both up and down. It's small profile is perfect and led readout on the front let's you know the status at a glance. The price is very reasonable for such great performance.

Very good product for what you pay for. Was having a lot of trouble finding a modem that reached 300 Mbps and this was a perfect match for it. It gave the proper speeds when I activated it with my ISP and have had 0 issues with it so far.

Had another Arris modem that, apparently, was blitzed during a thunderstorm-induced brief power outage. This modem is actually a step up from the previous one and has worked great so far. Set-up was easy, only requiring a short conversation with my ISP to register the MAC address. It would be nice if it has a fuse or something that would protect against power surges, but this one is not plugged into a surge protector power strip.

I have been using Motorola / Arris modems for as long as I can remember and this one is my latest and best one I've owned yet. Like I've said in my summary line; The speed is fast, I haven't lost my internet yet and their reliability is rock solid. There are other manufacturers out there but I'm not interested. I just haven't had the need to look elsewhere.

I bought this to replace a surfboard sb6121. Apparently xfinity"no longer supports" the old model so my internet stopped working. This new modem works perfectly and cleared up issues that I had been having for a couple of weeks. Thus if xfinity service is causing problems, I can confirm that as of early 2016, this modem works great with xfinity service.

This modem is fast and stable. It also reboots quickly, which saves a lot of time when troubleshooting. I like the status lights, which are more informative than other modems I have used. It's also relatively small, and the white color matches my Google Nest Wifi router.

We upgraded from the SB6141 to the SB6183. With Comcast Blast 75 Mbps plan & Arris R8500 router we're constantly hitting over 75 Mbps with 15 plus devices wired & wireless on our network. Easy installation!!! It took Comcast around 5 minutes to activate this modem. The customer service agent said that this is one of the best modems on the market!!!

This modem set itself up in a matter of minutes and has worked flauless with both Time Warner Cable and Direct TV, 2 Samsung Tablets and 3 phones, 3 Sony Desktop Computers, and 3 laptops. What more can be said. Fantastic

We bought this to replace and older modem. We saw the speeds jump immediately. It does not lose a signal on its own. Our cable company has a sketchy history with its signal but once the signal is lost and then comes back, the modem picks it up quickly and distributes the signal well.
