Decided to go with COX gigabyte service, and needed hardware to match. Runs multiple channels at consistent high speeds, and has proven to be extremely reliable. Have little to no hiccups, especially when streaming 4K tv, or when using our PS4. No lag when using multiple devices at the same time. Very happy with purchase.

This is truly a plug-n-play modem. When the cable installer hooked up this modem, he quipped about how this particular model of modem is the one that he would personally get. I have yet to have an outage or loss in speed, for any reason. If you're looking for a trouble-free installation or a modem that just plain works, this one is it!

My old cable modem finally bit the dust, so I turned to online reviews to find its replacement. Arris' products seem to be reliable, and so far, that's exactly what this is (I'm downloading digital music and movies faster than before, too). Here's to many more years of surfing the internet!

This item replaced my rented modem. It was easy to hook up, Just remove the wires from the old one, and put them in similar spots on the new one. Call your cable company with your serial number, and model,,,, Go to your computer and enter your data, and new passwords. I just copied the old password, and did not have to reset all my other units in the house, like Roku, and the 4 different smart Tv, Game boys, Phones, Playstation, Laptops.. Should you use a different password, all these will need to be reset. Since i use as many as 8 different computers around the house, You get the idea.. . Yeah, it cost a bit,, but will be paid off in 2 years, Since my old modem was over 10 years old.. figure it cost me a bundle in rent..$600 at least. Still worked, but

Bought this to replace rental modem from the cable company. Easy set up, and works great. Great device, and great value for the money. Pair with a decent wifi router, and start saving money on your cable bill. It will pay for itself in no time.

After 6 years my previous cable model started to give out and my Internet access was suffering. After spending time on the phone with my ISPs technical support they noticed that my old modem was not giving me the speed that I had been paying for; it had too few channels to give me the speed I had been paying for. Until then the ISP had always told us that there was nothing wrong and we were getting the actual speeds we signed up for. The tech support person said I needed to get a new cable modem that supported the extra channels that my higher speed required. So I did some research on Best Buy for a reliable cable modem that would meet the channel requirement the tech told me and found this one. Lucky for me it was in stock at my local store and was on sale. I ran right over and was back home installing it within an hour. I then spent another 30 minutes on the phone getting it "activated" by my ISPs tech support folks. Once they did that I started to see a 5x increase in my SpeedTest results. So far it has been reliable and trouble free. For that I give it a definite thubs up.

This just saved me $120.00 a year. I'm using this at my Baltimore, MD residence. I have Xfinity as my cable provider an was paying them 10.00 a month lease fee. This modem is better, faster and setup was a breeze. Just call in and have them provision or you can do it through their website automatically.

The old Surfboard got zapped when we had a huge lightning strike near the house. Fortunately the Eero mesh router from Best Buy survived. The salesman took me right to this modem and I have not regretted it one bit. It is great and priced right.

The modem is very decent at the price I paid for it Having not much knowledge of modems or how cabled internet would work. It was great to hear from someone at best-buy a good overall of it's capabilities. I must say that I was not disappointed, it's small and not too much of an eye sore and it works better than I thought it would. Over all I would say that this item was very much worth the price and I would recommend this to anyone who would be looking for a modem of this type.

Good, inexpensive modem. I ended up not needing it, but it was a good purchase. Very cost effective instead of renting a modem.

Purchased this when I moved ISP to Xfinity cable. They wanted me to rent their equipment but I wanted something better. They were not happy but I now have an excellent modem that will last and give excellent service. Set up was a snap and can be accomplished by a novice. Would recommend this modem without any hesitation.

This is our second one. The first one we had for 2 years and it only failed after there was lightening outside of the house fried several electronics. Much more cost effective than renting one from Comcast and works just as good. Easy set up.

The Setup is easy and small and compact device, fast

Of course the modem I was renting from my cable company started screwing up so I finally did something that I should have done a long time ago. This modem was very easy to set up and it worked flawlessly from the get go.

not much to review, but so far, so good! I purchased this one to call my own which is a lot better than renting it from the last cable company I had. It is a bit faster than the other one (rented) I had. I don't really know much of the specifics of it but I would recommend this to anyone looking for their own cable modem!

I purchased this to remove the monthly fee the internet service provider was charging me for using their modem. It works much better and makes my internet a bit faster than previous internet modems. It works great with XFINITY without any connection issues. Have not had any issues with it since purchased about a month ago.

The title says it all. A straightforward, no frills cable modem. Had absolutely no issues getting it set up with my ISP (Comcast) and using an Airport Extreme router. Internet access speeds are what I expected for the given specs and my internet connection. I recommend it if you just want a good simple modem.

My first networking equipment in a decade that is not NetGear, based on the salesperson's instance. This cable modem has to die-for-speeds and superb reliability. Maybe needs rebooting four times a year. Pairs well with Eero mesh WiFi system.

This modem replaced my old surfboard after a few upgrades with ISP causing it to "blink" in and out. After buying this modem, it has shown faster speeds, great reliability and would suggest. Only reason I give 4 starts is that it's a bit pricey. Yes I would say worth it but could be a bit cheaper for just the modem and not a modem/router combo. All-in-all I'd suggest and recommend.

I never knew I was missing out on higher throughput with Cox, although it was part of my package until I complained about my cable bill and the associate told me I had premium internet but my old modem that didn't allow me to receive to top download speeds, this modem does worth every penny. Easy to connect to.
