Ask and you shall recieve
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went to B.B. for a router and modem. After being persuaded into an awesome router I took the dudes advice on the best modem FOR THE MONEY. It works great, was fairly cheap. I had a surfboard a while back for rent from Verizon so I figured why not. No issues so far.

Good works perfect
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works wits optimum .Works as needed. I wish I could turn off the units lights due to it lights up my whole room at night disturbing my sleep. I don't feel comfortable covering up the unit due to it's electronic and it needs air to keep cool.

Ditch your providers modem!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got tired of the constant fee and lack of firmware updates from my providers equipment. Went on picked up my own and never looked back. My speeds are more constant, less interruptions, and less heat is generated by this device vs the providers

Just what I needed when TWC increased my speed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When TWC increased my cable speed from 30 mbs to 100 mbs, my old modem capped my downloads at the slower speed. After a painless instillation of the Surfboard 600 cable modem,my download speed jumped to just under the advertised 100 mbs. since then, smooth running and handles anything I throw at it.

Great upgrade if you're beefing up wifi.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy set up. Plug and play. Cable provider will step in if doesn't turn on first time. Just call them and they will activate. Setting up with router was a breeze. You can definitely tell the upgrade if you have dated hardware.

works great and paying for itself
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have Time Warner Cable and I was being charged $10/mo. on my bill for monthly tental of their modem. Since I only use their modem for my phone service, I was able to use this modem, along with a splitter, for my internet connection. And, since I'm only using TWC's modem for my phone service, there's no charge for their modem. Found this on Amazon for $89 and Best Buy price matched it so in 9 months it will have paid for itself

excellent value for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cox cable informed me that my existing modem was installed in 2014 and does no longer support the speed I am paying for. They recommended I get an 8 X 4 (8 for downloads and 4 for uploads). With the help of a Best Buy tech I picked this one as it is better than Cox recommendation with a 16 x 4. Plug it in and forget it. No issues at all even with numerous devices connected. Highly recommend it....

Easy install
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This replaced my Motorola 6141 that gave me about 90M on Time Warner. After upgrading my internet service to "Ultimate", I get 322, 324, 323Mb on three consecutive runs on speedtest.net. Installation was painless. Note this model has no keyhole for wall mount. Best Buy price is far better than Amazon.

Fast Modem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The modem was very easy to install and it took 30 mins to hook up the wires and call my service provider to switch to the new modem. Overall the the speed is great, I get the full 200 mb download speed. It'll also support 300 mb if I ever upgrade to next higher level speed with TWC.

Great modem for a heavy home user
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installation and setup were easy and provisioning the modem took less than 5 minutes. I use the modem at home but have in excess of 30 devices using the modem. The increase in speed from my old modem was immediately noticeable. I've had zero problems after 2 months. Well worth the money.

Great modem!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace the rented modem from cable. I've cut cable and this purchase helped to bring my cost down even more. Modem is excellent and have had no problems. Very easy to setup. I recommend everyone should own your own modem if you want to save even more on your cable bill!

Why rent when you can own?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We cut the cord so we needed to update our equipment. We were also renting an inferior modem from our cable provider. This was affordable and great for what we needed. Paired with a Netgear AC1700 router and have great speeds and reliability.

Easy to setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The setup was very easy. Attach the incoming COAX cable from the wall, connect a CAT 5 cable from the modem to the router, and you're done, except for one big thing, getting your ISP to activate the new modem. In our case that turned out to be a long process. It can be set on its side or upright, or stacked on top of something else. The onboard menu doesn't have any options, just information. if you want to use a wireless or other router, unplug the modem and your router, switch the cat5 to your router turn on your router first, and give it a few minutes to boot. After booted plug in the modem. After a few minutes the two devices should be recognizing each other and your internet connection should be good Note: When you initially setup your new cable modem - connect your computer DIRECTLY to the cable modem - don't try setup through a router.

Solid Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to set up and very dependable. I use it primarily for web browsing and Tablo (a great value on its own). The modem will pay for itself quickly if you are using cable rather than renting from those scoundrels. It has been extremely reliable and I would not hesitate recommending this modem.

Solid
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This modem is closest thing to plug-n-play. Even though I don't currently use the full speed potential his modem is capable of, it made sense to spend a little more for this one and be ready for the faster speeds in the future. This has worked perfectly since I got it about a month ago.

Faster than the cable provider modem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Modem is 3-4 Mb faster on average than my rented cable modem, not sure why, but it has been consistent . Have not had to reboot it once since i got it registered with TWC. Works better than expected and will eventually pay for itself. Have it paired with an Asus RT-AC68U router. Solid so far.
