Great device
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product for a decent price. Works as described. It does have very pretty blue lights, but the are quite bright. That's the only drawback I'd say about this product.

Works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent modem, working very well with our cable service. Had to upgrade our cable modem a few years ago to deal with weak signals. I don't know whether or not the signals have gotten any stronger, but this modem is providing solid service.

No longer renting from Comcast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works better than the unit I was renting for the last 10 years from Comcast. Should have made the switch years ago and saved money and improve performance. Just make sure you contact Comcast and notify them of the switch and provide them the MAC address.

Excellent modem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have Comcast 300mbps Internet and actually get 350mbps through Ethernet. This modem had excellent reviews on all the sites, and they were right. The modem isn't fancy looking; but definitely meets your needs for the best price I've found

This Modem is working as advertised at present.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We recently updated our Internet speed and with the Motorola modem we had could not get to the speed we were paying for. This modem is recommended by Time Warner to achieve the higher speeds. We feel you are throwing away money when renting through them. This model is giving us the speed we are paying for. It will also give us the top speed Time Warner is able to provide. We have had it less than a month but it is working as described. We have owned other modem brands in the past and they never lasted for more than a year and one half, but the Motorola modems we just replaced this model with was still going strong after several years. Hopefully this model will do the same. Unlike our previous Motorola modem where the case is metal, this case is plastic. As long as the quality of the components are good I am happy at present.

Arris SURFboard 600 Series Cable Modem Review
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I brought this for my friend who uses cable internet. He's new to Oceanic TIme Warner Cable. After cable technician installed it, it runs well and fast. It's not as hot compared to the wireless version of this modem of a different model.

Fast, small, perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am getting 185mps from Comcast and only paying for 150mps. So I know this modem can handle anything that is thrown at it. Very impressed and happy with the purchase. Plus it glows blueish purple sitting on the shelf, so it even looks good!

Good modem.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tired of renting from Tiime Warner Cable. So bought this after reading some reviews. I got BB to price matched which made this even better. Noticeable difference in speed and I did not have any problems since I bought it about 3 months ago.

Purchased to replace leased modem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doing some cord cutting, and cutting the $140 per year comcast leased modem was top of the list. In my opinion the aries definitely works the same, and maybe quite a bit better, hard to tell. Very happy with this choice.

A little too soon to tell
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm going to withhold my final judgment on this modem as I still have a problem which may be related to my cable routing & not the new modem. My internet went down a little over 3 weeks ago & I was using a fairly new Zoom modem (2-3 years old) at the time, & I suspected that it might be the cause on my outage, & so I went out & got a new Motorola Arris Surfboard 600 to replace it, if necessary, when the cable guy arrived. While we were checking the system over, the cable installer said that some of the routing of my cables at the (2) splitters wasn't right & so he rearranged them. Everything seemed as good if not better than before so I was happy, until I started getting stoppages of video downloading & difficulty with a wireless tablet. I went & arranged the cables as they were before (I never had any problems or stoppages of streaming before) & it seemed to be back as before. However, I still am experiencing some streaming problems occasionally, but not as frequently. Something is still not right although the modem seems to be working fine & some testing shows good speeds, so I may still have some problems within the lines that need to be detected & fixed. I'm giving this Arris "Surfboard 600" 4 stars at this point, based upon general speeds, & will rerate it once I actually locate & resolve the problem.

Good price, great down & up load speed.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was on my cable provider's list of compatible internet modems. Decided to stop "renting" theirs and buy my own with better technology. Good price means it will pay for itself in about 8 months of cable bills. Easy to install and hit the max speed on the first test. Recommend connecting with at least Cat6 patch cables to get the most out of this modem.

Works great. Just plugged it in and it hooked up.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to replace an older version of this model due to a electrical surge. Always worked well. This one I plugged it in and it connected to the Comcast network and that's all. everything worked and I have had it for a month with no issues.

Fast, Easy Setup. Great Nightlight ...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was getting emails from my ISP (Comcast) telling me my old modem (Motorola SB5101) was not capable of using the full speeds available. I was planning on getting the 6141, but I saw that Best Buy had the 6183. The old one was a horse, only few resets needed over 10 years. That is the reason I stayed with Motorola. This was an easy setup with Comcast. Connect the cable and the PC (powered off), turn on the modem, wait for a while to let all the communication going and get any updates from the ISP, then boot the PC and open a web browser. With my old modem it automatically went to the activation page, with this one I had to enter it manually. Once that was done I was up and running. Added in my new AC wireless, better video streaming now with fewer pauses, enough bandwidth for the 6 or 7 connected items to not have any interference issues.

Simple and fast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup was straight forward and simple. Called the cable company Cox, and registered it and I was back up and running. Ran Speed Test and I had significant gains in upload and download speeds even though my previous modem was docis 3.0.
