This modem is really fast and it also maintains a better connection than the one from the cable company.Nice that I don't pay a rental fee any more.

As far as the modem is concerned, it is working great. However, it is not simple to install. I had several people who were good with this type of installation try to install it, and they were not able to. I had to have the Geek Squad install it, and it took only about 45 minutes. However, it cost me $100 for them to do it. There is a comment on would I recommend this item. Maybe. If you have money to have it installed, then yes. If not, then I would look for something easier to install.

This is a better modem than what my cable company provided by far. The downside is now that there is a new player in the market, bringing fiber, my cable company magically increased my speeds (at no additional cost! well, except the modem rental fees) to 300Mbps down. this modem is not compatible with the way the higher speeds are delivered. On my cable system, it is limited to 100Mbps. They make a different model that will receive up to 300 down, but I am content with 100 until fiber comes to my house - that day will be the last day I have cable!

I replaced my modem after the previous one lost signal and it was apparent to me that the SB 6183 was the clear choice. The speed is great, reliability has been excellent, and the setup was as easy as anything else I've ever done.

Previous Arris got zapped during the Easter tornado and of course, due to "Covid closings" we were in dire straits to get daughter back online to finish her semester requirements. Thanks to the Hattiesburg Best Buy team for answering our call so we could drive up, request item, wait about 5 minutes for item, and then pay - all without getting out of our vehicle. Saved us time and got a much needed upgrade with this Arris!

Great modem. Very easy to install, no issues with our isp trying to detect it on their network. Provides a great combo with our wireless router.

Way faster than my previous modem. Works great no lagging.

this unit replaces one that I rented foolishly from the cable company. The Best Buy unit is smaller, quicker and better overall. very nice.

I bought this to replace a 10 year old modem I purchased my 1st modem years ago wen all in one modem / routers were still few and far between. I'm happy with my router and it has a few more ars of geek squad protection s when my old router quit working I researched this modem and it was the least expensive Xfinity compatible modem. it was a quick setup and now i get the full speed that i pay for and wasn't getting with the old modem. i

I am was not familiar with modems but purchased the Motorola Arris SURFboard 600 series DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem to replace the modem I was renting from Time Warner Cable. It works great! Have been using it for 1 month and works like a charm. Returned my old modem to Time Warner Cable and now save $8.00 per month.

This little guy is quite, fast and does not overheat. It is the latest and greatest for Comcast service and works flawlessly.

I bought this because several family members had one, it was a very easy Install and I’m happy with the performance of it.

Just subbed it in for my 8 channel ARRIS and the speed increase was noticeable. Works great without any glitches.

I purchased this because I hate renting one from optimum. The only bad thing was that I had to wait on hold for three hours. Do not use the automated call back because 4 hours later they called me back and the machine stated there system maintenance. This is my experience but wanna spread the truth. Also, I used to get 25Megs down and 4Megs upstream. My new results were 116 Megs down and 38 Megs up. Great results

I always stick with this brand of modem. My old one SB6141 went dead after 2-3+ years so I went with this one. Im only using it on a 75mbps connection (getting around 90) from comcast. If youre looking for something with no frills and you can rely on to work 100% of the time this is the modem for you. I also pc game online, stream 4k content, while roommates are streaming and gaming at the same time and it is always stable.

I bought this modem when I moved to a new house. Worked perfectly with xfinity internet service. The install tech told me the more expensive ones don't really improve the speed much. After the installation this is one of those things you buy and forget as long as it keeps working. Connected the modem to google mesh wifi and haven't had to mess with home network since. Best value for price and performance.

Great modem at a great price. Super easy to install. Much faster then the modems Time Warner supplies---and there is no monthly charge!
