I was having trouble with my Surfboard modem that I bought several years ago at Best Buy. I recently went to the Best Buy located at 9630 SE 82nd Avenue, Portland, OR and talked with a sales associate and he suggested that I buy the ARRIS Surfboard 16x4 cable modem. The new cable modem is working great with my internet. Thanks to Best Buy for great products, great prices and excellent customer service.

I bought this for a family member who had upgraded their internet plan. After a quick install, a quick call with their provider, they were up and running with faster speeds than before. I personally use an ARRIS cable modem myself and neither of these products have had any problems whatsoever. I would definitely recommend this brand to anyone looking to buy their own cable modem to avoid the rental fee ISPs charge.

This modem was easy to setup and it is getting very fast speeds from xfinity. I have 150 mbs plan when tested I'm getting 180 mbs.

excellent modem. compatible with xfinity & rcn. cranks out efficiently high speeds. this one lasted 3.5 years, which is still a much better value than leasing from your provider.

Looked around on Amazon before going into Bestbuy to make the actual purchase. This was the latest offering on Modem by Arrias in 2014-2015. Thought we would upgrade our speed much faster in the future, so it would be a great candidate. People say that they get faster than subscribed speed, while that might be dependent on ISP. I don't see that on my COX service. Reason to buy it: separate modem from router makes future upgrades more easily, also more risk diversification than integrated models.

Purchased this modem instead of renting the cable company one. Easy to set up with a simple call to the cable company so they can activate it. Handles my 60 Mbps internet very easily with no lag or drops.

Work better than any cable company one you can rent and cheaper to own your own.

Arris has a great history of good workmanship.Price is great and it's very Superior to the cable t.v. modems.

Great modem. Upgraded recently for higher speed and it hasn't dropped internet since. No need to restart when things drop.

What can I say? It just works! I owned one for 4 years, then my cable company said i had a bad modem and needed it replaced. I purchased the same one called my ISP to register it and no issues whatsoever. A side note, my cable company was wrong and my router was bad, not my modem, but I'm just going to keep the newer one any way. Solid little machine!

It does exactly what it is supposed to do. I have TWC 100mbs service and it can handle up to 300mbs. Easy set up was a plus.
