Why pay for a rental when you can have your own and save money in the long run? This modem far surpasses the quality I would have received from my provider - and from the money I saved from not renting one or the past 10 years with the previous modem I was easily able to purchase this one with money to spare.

Out of the box easy to set up. It has been doing the job I expected for the past month. I work an IT job from home, and this has been nothing but reliable thus far. It is rated for throughput speeds way above what my local provider supports, so I cannot attest to its behaviour under max load, but I see no reason I would not recommend this well priced modem to others looking for a plug-n-play quick fix.

Replaced rented Mediacom modem with upgraded model, which saves me $7.50/month. The new modem will pay for itself in less than a year. Needing to connect to a TIVO, there was much confusion on line regarding which modems were compatable. A young man from the Geek Squad took the time to do the on-line research required to identify the correct model and brand. That's why I paid a little extra to buy it at Best Buy.

Very easy setup and has been great modem...definitely seen improvement from my older modem that was replaced.

I bought this modem to use with cable internet service from Time Warner Cable. It was on their list of approved hardware, it works perfect. By purchasing my own equipment I no longer have to pay a monthly rental fee to TWC, I wish they had told me that was an option 7 years ago! I have been using the modem for over a month now. The internet speed is faster than ever and I haven't had to reset it once (I was resetting weekly on old modem). No complaints whatsoever!

We bought the recommended modem and router combo. We had a system that we purchased with an internet service several years ago. With kids doing on line classes, sheltering in with movies, streaming and so forth...we had to upgrade. This combo has been well worth it. Quick access to internet, no more waiting and waiting and...very satisfied!

Our modem failed on a Thursday. We had a streaming event scheduled for Sunday and our Internet provider could not replace the modem until Tuesday. Fortunately Best Buy had the right product in stock and I was able to get back online the same day. Worked perfect. Thanks.

This modem was simple to set up and works well. Speed is dramatically better than the older modems on Comcast.

This has to be the best modem u have every bought. It always stays connected and is super fast! Love it!

The modem works as advertised. I have TWC and the speeds go up to 300mbps in my areas (Southern California)

Product works well. The actual maximum speed of what you could get out of this modem will depend on your provider as well. Using Timer Warner, they only specify this modem with about half of what the retailer claims it is able to do. But either way, it has more than enough capacity for me. I recommend purchasing this over the 6141 in case of future expansions. It is not too much more to pay, but at least you'll have the capability when overall speeds increase.

Wish I had done this years ago with TWC! Small, compact, and fast. Will pay for itself in just 6 months!
