If you want over 100Mbps service, you need this modem at least. The 6141 will not cut it! While the 6141 should support these speeds, TWC will not on that modem! The do not fully utilize the channels' speed so buy this if you're buying a modem and save yourself the headache. Also, this has no blinking light on the front for activity so that may be a plus or minus to you. I don't need another bright blue light blinking so I'm fine with this.

ever since I bought this, disconnections on my end have not happened. I can't say the same for the other end (i'm looking at you, xbox live) since the 6183 has the channels for uploading/downloading, I've been able to maintain stable connections when I go online. when Comcast goes faster on their speeds, this modem will support those speeds (if I can move to a neighborhood that has fiber op built in ) and I won't need to buy another one for quite awhile

This modem was really easy to setup. Good speed and future proof. So far happy with the functionality.

This is the 2nd DOCSIS 3 modem i have purchased in the past 4 years. The first was for my home and it has never had a problem. It worked so well i decided to get one for my parents. They switched over from AT&T and needed a new modem and router. I looked at the Arris model that had the built in router but decided to go with a Linksys router and the Arris modem. This has been one of the best purchases I have made.

Quick easy setup. IP was able to activate with my info in very quick time. Works great and no issues.

Setup was easy: 1. Power off old modem and router. 2. Disconnect wiring to old modem. 3. Connect wiring to new modem. 4. Power up new modem. 5. Call ISP (Spectrum) to provision new modem. 6. Power up router. 7. Done in 10 minutes. The old modem had 8/4 bonded channels, new modem has 16/4 bonded channels. Speed tests have gone from 112Mbs to 220Mbs.

Very easy to set up, and it provides the advertised speed.

Installer just connected it and loaded the serial number in and it connected. The status information was easy to get at 192.168.100.1. Have had it for about a month and no difficulties. It has bright monitor lights. but in a home office its fine. Bit warm but not enough to make me nervous.
