Don't let Comcast gouge you with their rental fees. I picked up one of these bad boys and pull near 200 Mbps. Lightning fast and an incredible build. It's incredibly fast, and so beautiful. My wife calls it cute, and has named it. You'll see what I mean.

My Comcast modem randomly stopped working one night so instead of going through the hassle of getting a replacement through them (and paying the rental fee), i bought this modem. It was super easy to get setup - didn't even need to call comcast, was done through a laptop. Everything was up and running within 10 minutes and I'm saving money in the long run.

Easy set up, very fast, works seamlessly with my netgear router.

Excellent modem. Well capable of serving my AC router at 216 Mb/s. No issues at all.

comcast sent me notice to upgrade my modem which was sb6121. i was split between sb6141 and this sb6183. the price difference wasn't much and it's not like everyday that you upgrade/change modem so i went for the sb6183. my service is 150mbps down and with old sb6121, speedtest.net showed 125mbps. after upgrade, i get 160~180mbps down so it's giving me boost. well worth the upgrade imo.

I was looking for a good modem for use for streaming TV and gaming at the same time. This modem fits the bill with the 16 download channels. I never have any issues while playing PC games online and my wife is watching streaming TV on our Roku 3. Since upgrading my modem I have actually always had internet speed tests results greater than what I'm actually paying for with Comcast XFinity.

I wasn't happy with my cable provided modem. There always seemed to be an issue where I would have to unplug them replug in order to reset the modem and have it work properly. The icing on the cake was the monthly fee I was being charged for this slow modem so I decided to purchase my own modem. So far so good. the modem speed for the most part has been good although at times inconsistent but then it corrects itself quickly. I'm a happy camper and have saved myself $10/month for an unreliable modem.

Keeps a constant speed, does a great job, and I never see a speed latency.

White and bright easy to see, read and use controls. Would like to see more products and appliances available in white, chrome and silver instead of black !

This is an excellent 16 down and 4 up bonded channel modem. Worked very well and stable, I did "upgrade" to the Netgear CM600, which is 24 down and 8 up, Spectrum in my area does 24 down and 4 up. The SB6183 gave good solid performance on the "ultra" internet plan and delivered on the 400/20 plan very well, usually gave about 480/24.

This Arris SB6183 Modem is working great. It was set up by the Comcast installer. I was previously with AT and T so I am very glad Comcast allows it's customers to own their own modem and therefore save the monthly rental feeI we were always paying in addition to AT and T. Plus with Best Buy's price match guarentee we saved even more as well as we were able to use a Best Buy Rewards certificate. So thanks to God when all was said and done we ended up paying about $9.99 plus tax for this $109.00 modem. It's a blessing from God!

So far pretty fast and reliable. It can lose connection for a couple of seconds. I would recommend.

I was having problems with my Xfinity internet. Thought I was my modem so bought this new Arris to replace my Zoom which had lower specs. Although it turned out to be an issue with Xfinity (they had inadvertently limited my upstream), I'm glad I replaced it. Direct connection speeds are now 99Mbs, and my WiFi, using Netgear router, is 2-3x faster.

This is a great modem. Really easy to set up with Cox in Southern California. Our internet has been awesome since we made the switch to this modem.

Very compatible with the cable modem I replaced . Download speeds are good.

Super fast and Easy to hook up. Docsis 3.0 so it's ready for future speeds as well
