Not a expert but this was one of those things I have been meaning to upgrade fro a while. Install was straight forward but it was a bit confusing since the provider had some issue and thought it was defective since it did NOT show GREEN lights. When operating this modem has to BLUE lights.

Works great so far. I had to contact my ISP to get it to work with their system and they raised our monthly cost slightly since we also dropped our phone with them but it is nice not needing to rent from them anymore. If I didn't need a switch with more ports I would have been interested in the wifi router version.

Great stable modem, when paired with a NETGEAR - Nighthawk AC1900 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 5 Router - Black you will get much better wifi coverage and speed than the all one your isp charges you for monthly. Best for internet packages 300Mbs or less.

This was a compliment buy to the router I bought. It is working great too! The guy at Best Buy knew what he was talking about. It was an easy set up and there have been no problems since getting hooked up. Life is good again. Separating the router and modem is the best thing I've done in a long time.

Had the cox panoramic wifi and it was BAD!!! I decided to try this modem out to see if i could get the speeds or even have wifi signals without it dropping and Ta-Da no signals lost and speeds that are lightning speed. Glad i returned the panoramic wifi and am so happy with this router.

It seems like this is a good modem. It's hard to tell sometimes with Comcast because of their throttling. It's much better than the rental garbage they give you. This is my 2nd one. The first one stopped working within the first 4 months. The manufacturer was no help. They wanted me to pay to send in the old one, wait for a few weeks, then they would ship it back. Another 7-10 days. So basically I would be with no internet for about a month.

Easy to install. Configuration is easy through the GUI. Highly recommend. I didn't want to spend a lot of time or effort configuring this device. I didn't it was that easy. The only additional step I had to perform was to contact my ISP with the new router info. It comes with an info card. It was easy.

I had rented a modem from Time Warner for years but decided to purchase one when I moved. New place also has Time Warner and the installation & connection went perfectly. It's been operating for about 3 weeks now, and no problems yet. Cannot complain if it works okay. I'll revisit here if it ever fails.

I have a few month old router from when i use at&t, now with comcast i just need a cable modem & after reading some reviews online this is what i bought. Easy to install basically like plug n play & it works well with linksys router. The long coax cable & wall fastener that comes with it is great too.

I purchased this modem over two and a half years ago, and it's still going strong. It has side mounting holes on it, which allowed me to mount it between the wall and my PC. The lights are bright, but for individuals who don't want to see them, electrical tape can easily solve that problem.

Ordered this through eBay.com with Best Buy as the seller. Did "In Store Pick-up" and everything went off without a hitch! Product is working great, I'm currently getting slightly above my tier speed of 30Mbs through Time Warner and waiting for the advertised "speed increase" that's suppose to be coming to the area.

Save your money on rental fees. This modem can handle internet over 600Mbs. Chances are your isp speed is no where near that so you will see no difference in performance vs a higher speed modem. I prefer a separate modem and router that way I have more placement options with my wifi router.

I was having bandwidth problems after Christmas with my internet. I replaced the cable company wifi modem with this modem and a wifi router. My speeds tripled and they can no longer piggyback their wifi network over my cable connection. I will have paid for this in less than a year and increased my speeds!

Super simple setup, I use this with Xfinity. all you have to do is get it online, call Comcast and provide them with the MAC address and it is good to go. Don’t overpay for their hardware, this thing will pay for its self in no time.

Easy set up, works well! Supported by local cable companies like Comcast, WOW etc.

Stable and plenty fast. If you’re not a gaming pro or running an Internet cafe out of the basement, then this modem is probably all the horsepower you need.

Solid cable modem. I have TWC roadrunner and this unit works great. I called the customer service department, gave them the MAC address off the unit and it was working in a few minutes. Easy install and set up and works great. Plugged in my wifi router and was up and running in about 30 minutes total.

Super-fast, is giving me better than ISP rates my service at. Better quality than what they provided and without the rental fee. Will pay for itself in 1.5 years, and is ready for faster speeds once they are offered without replacement unit. A true "set it & forget it" product my whole family appreciates now.

I don't know why I didn't buy this sooner, so stupid to pay the cable company to rent their piece of **** modem. Set up was extremely easy and 1 phone call later I was up and running. The only thing I would change is the color from white to black and I am not thrilled that the activity lights are so bright.
