If you have an internet plan with high downloads speeds and you are looking for a mid range price (around $100)... this is the cable modem for you. If you have an internet plan less than 50 MBPS... you might want to consider the more economical models because you don't need the high speed rates for your cable modem.

I only pay for 200mbps but this thing pushes out like 240! Obviously I can't comment on reliability, but it does concern me that there is no fan inside so I ordered an external fan to hopefully help airflow because it does get warm when you feel it, but that's how any modem would feel. I just know I read another review saying that this thing started to over heat after about a year so hopefully the external fan helps.

Bought this modem to use on Comcast. Setup was a breeze - hooked it up to the coax cable and watched for the link lights to light up. Easy to log into the internal status menu via a web browser to verify connectivity to Comcast. Only problem was that I was trying to get set up on a Sunday afternoon and Comcast requires you to call into their customer service center to start service, but it was closed for the day! Got up and running after a quick call to Comcast on Monday. Modem works great - fast speeds even on Comcast's 10MB plan.

Easy to setup. Very affordable and will meet most broadband user’s needs. It has worked flawlessly so far!

Motorola - Arris SURFboard 600 Series was easy to set up. A power outage fried my ASUS modem and since my whole home is connected through WiFi I was eager to get back up and going. I literally took it out of the box and plugged it in... which granted is a little easier than starting from scratch. It is fast and able to handle my 100mbps download speeds with ease. It is also very stable and does not fluctuate wildly like my last modem.

Easy setup. Compatible with most cable companies. Traffic lights a bit bright in a darkened room. Solid performance.

I had a Arris 6141 and was having intermittent connectivity issues. I had to reboot the modem frequently. My cable/internet provider said they had compatibility issues, even though their website says its supported (but only with certain firmware versions). The technician recommended the 6183 and I am very happy with it. About a month so far and no dropped connections. I have 50Mbps service and no problems with Netflix or other streaming services. 6183 supports much faster speed so I am set if I ever upgrade my service.

This product is outstanding at the price. It was simple to hook up; just take out the old cable modem and replace it with the new modem. It did require a call to Spectrum tech support, which took about 15 minutes, to set it up on the network. We were having problems with the signal dropping out constantly, and that is no longer an issue. I am very satisfied with this purchase!

No issues, inexpensive modem with high quality performance. After power outages, it has always reset itself to pair again with the router. Never any issues, set up very easy through wifi provider.

Make sure the cable modem is on your ISP's approved list before purchasing. Save money and buy your own modem. Works without any issues, lights are bright but can be covered up or turned off if needed. This modem has 16 download channels with download speeds up 686Mbps if your ISP provides that and you can afford that speed. It does not have the dreaded Intel Puma chipset that the ARRIS 6190 has. Tends to run a little hot but is vented on two sides and the top.

Wanted to replace an aging modem of mine with a higher end, faster one. These are known for being the best and well worth the cost! I've had it for over 1-2 months now and zero issues! If you connect it and you got no internet, don't worry! Just call your ISP and have them "register" your new modem and reset it in their systems. I had to do that with Cox Cable and since then it's been perfect! Highly recommend! Note: I'm a HUGE PC Gamer, so smooth connections and speed is big for me!

After subscribing to TWC, I went to Best Buy to purchase my own modem in stead of taking theirs. When the installer came to drop the wire and bring it into my home, the next thing was to connect the modem. The agent installed the modem, brought up the service and I am receiving speeds higher than purchased on the 4 PC's in my home. I am averaging about 236 mps download and 23.mps upload. Modem has been reliable and consistent performance. No trouble connecting it to my Netgear Nighthawk X8.

Easy set up..was a good choose.Arris very responsive when we had questions about compatibility. Best it was very good price. Router was fine so didnt need to replace.

No complaints - replaced an old Motorola and works fine. Activation with Spectrum took minutes and have had no issues with reliability or speed. The bright white casing is a little obnoxious to look at and the LED lights are too bright as well, but as far as performance - no complaints at all.

This multi-channel cable modem completely eliminated the bottleneckes we were experiencing at our office. We share a 50meg cable internet account with 40 employees. Previously, when anyone was uploading or downloading a large file it would cause a delay in our system. Now with the multi channel modem we don't have any issues. It is very reliable as well. We have not had to restart the modem once since installing it 12 weeks ago. Our previous modem couldn't go more than a week without needing a restart.

Easy set up, great size, works like a charm. NO complaints and it can handle above average internet speeds with ease.

replaced Optimum modem with this one. does not use VoIP phone option, but works perfectly and was a cinch to replace. Just needed a quick phone call to Optimum support to give them its MAC address and poof ---- up and running. A solid performer and saves 10 bucks a month on rental costs

I had my Doubts, About Getting my Own Modem. Now, I'm More than Happy, that I Got One. The Best Buy Staff Helped me make my Selection. I had Several Option to Choose from, both in Brands and Levels of Capability. I Choose ARRIS SURFboard 600 Series. The Price was Right and it's Works Great, Setup was Easily Done with my Internet Provider & It Reduced my Cable Bill, Since I Do Not have to Pay Fee on There Cable Modem. That Means ARRIS will Pay for Itself in 18 Months.
