This modem works great as long as the cable company is sending a signal. This is the second Arris Surfboard SB6190 I have purchased. The first stopped working in November after four years so I bought the second unit without extended warranty. Four years is a long time for modems when routers often fail in less than a year. I do buy extended warranties with routers. My modem is on 24/7 and the speed with the router is fast enough to watch videos on the large screen Sony while three other people watch their tiny phone screens. The blue indicator lights are not too bright and you can always turn it toward the wall at night.

Paired with Google Nest, the best wifi service I have ever experienced. I highly recommend this pair. I used to have cable company modem and could not have more than 3 devices connected at once without the frustration of lagging. With my Arris Surfboard and Google Nest pairing, I have had as much as 12 devices comnected at the same time and no lagging. I am so happy I no longer have to constantly get stressed about my wifi signal like before ^_^

This item replaced an older modem that quit on us. This modem has really given our internet a boost in a big way from our old one, and we have had zero issues since installing it. Highly recommended.

Never had any issues with this modem. Its easy setup, may take you 30sec to 1 minute to hook up. Cant mess that up.

This is a great cable modem. I replaced a 9 year old Motorola Surfboard with this as the old one can’t get more than 300 Mbps and I upgraded my speed well past that. This modem can definitely handle the higher speeds and has the exact same build quality as my old one. I see no reason this one won’t last me the same amount of time as long as Docsis 3.0 is still supported.

We were leasing our (supposedly) high speed modem from TW. We had nothing but issues. I bought the Arris Surfboard Modem along with the Apple AirPort Extreme Router and have not had one issue. This is a true high speed modem with 4x the bandwidth then what we had with TW. No more headaches and cursing at TW, no more leasing an inferior modem......Priceless!!

It works! No complaints! Use it for streaming and downloading small amounts.

This unit replaced my older model by Motorola, since it was a name I didn't know I was a little concerned but after reading Comcast list of modems for my service I was sold and the modem has been humming along nicely. If you like white it even looks good out in the open :)

Connectivity has been excellent and the overall combination with the Orb router is fantastic

We have the slowest Internet with our provider and you wouldn’t even be able to tell the difference with what we do with this awesome modem

It's been about 8 years since we replaced our Docsis Modems.... technology changes and the newer modems have more 'channels' to handle the upstreams and downstreams. These modems handles our 100 down 10 up internet packages well and can also hand the 200 meg on the way, they are rated at 600 Meg I believe.... so we are good to for the next 10 years probably.

2 years in and works like brand new. Never looses connection. No issues ever. I have 50 items hooked up to my router and 3 tvs streaming this modem does amazing job connecting my router to the net.

my internet was very slow because of my old Cable Modem. and I got this new Cable Modem from Best Buy. after that my internet speed is very fast I really love this modem and I highly recommend this to anyone looking for something like this

For the basic Charter Spectrum internet plan this is fine and is pulling in the correct speeds. We live in Traverse City Mission out on the Old Mission Peninsula and the connection is perfect. Many will tell you Charter Spectrum provides a complimentary modem however I prefer my own out of the box without firmware restrictions or changes.
