Really nice upgrade to my 5 year old cable modem. Sets up easily, is really fast with my gigabit router. Nice slim profile. Even though xfinity had it listed as an approved cable modem, it took over an hour with them on the phone to connect it. Great once I got it going.

I purchased this modem, because I was upgrading my internet speed, and my old DOCSIS 2.0 modem would not be able to handle the speed increase.
If you are an Antietam Cable customer, this is the only modem that they support at this time, provided you are not running the Gigabit cable, (not available in my area), then you must rent their equipment.
The modem does what it's supposed to do and I am consistently getting adequate speed from my service provider, (nothing wrong with the modem, it's the inconsistency in my provider) At times I get close to the 200GBPS I pay for, with that said I average closer to 100GBPS when other customers are active.
Installation was a breeze and overall, this is a solid modem. The modem lights may vary depending on your provider, the manual said i would have green blue blue green, but instead I have white blue blue white. Cable company had no clue what they were supposed to be but the white blue blue white for Antietam means you have a connection and the modem is working as desired.

This modem worked great while I had Xfinity internet. Great value... worked flawlessly and provided good speeds. Very easy to set up and use. I would still be using this modem if I hadn't switched to Verizon FIOS.

Very easy to hook up. Increased my Internet speed before I even upgraded my router. My Internet speed will not come close to maxing out this modem so it is more of a future proofing purchase. Purchased this to avoid TWC rental charges. I previously owned the sb6121 and had no problems but TWC discontinued support for this model.

The Model SB6190 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem was very easy to install, supports 32 downstream channels, 8 upload channels, and speeds up to 1.4 GBPS, which is enough to support high-end computer usage such as gaming, and multiple video streaming applications. On sale at BestBuy for about $0.00 is well worth the price.

I had no problems installing and activating this modem with Cox. I subscribe to the Premier Internet package (100 mbps down; 10 mbps up). I upgraded from the SB6141, which only bonds 8 downstream channels. With the SB6141, I saw download speeds of about 105 mbps. After installing the SB6190, my download speeds have increased to nearly 130 mbps. I didn't upgrade my Internet package. Rather, the additional bonded channels provided by the SB6190 provided a noticeable boost in speed.
As such, I would highly recommend this modem to any cable subscriber on a plan with download speeds of at least 100 mbps, especially if you are using a modem that bonds less than 16 downstream channels (such as older SURFboard modems).

I've had this modem for over a year. The last one I had lasted for 10 years without a glitch. This newer version is faster, reliable and well worth the price. The cable companies want to rent you the same or lesser quality model for $5 - $6/ month forever. Do the math. Own don't lease.

Simple to install, works great with Xfinity. My plan states up to 750Mbps and this modem is pulling 900Mbps. Pair this with a good wireless router and you will have no issues with speed or performance!! Experienced zero lag or disconnection with multiple devices (8 at a time) running .. Couldn't ask for more.

Arris is a good brand in cable modems. The device was simple enough to set up and get running. Once my cable company's system updated the firmware upon startup, it has been running solid since. I find no compatibility issues. It has speed capability beyond what I'm using, so it's ready for speed increases in the future.

Replaced an Arris/Motorola SURFBoard Modem/WiFi Router with this modem. Going to a dedicated modem has elimated my connectivity issues in the house and appears to have inmproved the dtaa throughput as well. Unit was easy to set up - works like it should - and I forget it's even there. In my opinion - perfect.

This modem is wonderful. I saw my speedtest.net speeds jump from under 10 Mbps to around 47Mbps after installing. A few things to keep in mind:
1) You will need to have your Internet provider help setup the modem (known as provisioning) if they don't have a web based setup. This will allow your Internet provider to communicate with the modem.
2) You will need a router, WiFi or otherwise to use this if you have more than 1 computer.
Other than that, setup is easy, just requires plugging it into the wall and connecting the coaxial cable from your Internet provider, then call them to have it provision. Took me about 15 minutes, counting the hold time with my Internet Service Provider.
What's in the Box? The modem, a manual, a warranty card, and an Ethernet cable.

Installed to serve as router for a wired network at home. Internet speeds are what my ISP offers.
Easy access online allows you to access features and settings for the modem/router.
It does run a little warm so I highly recommend providing good clearances to assure airflow around unit.

I am using this with xfinity, very easy to get setup and going via their self service portal. With the increase in download channels I have been able to improve overall speed when we have 4 or more people streaming, gaming and downloading. A significant improvement over my old modem.

Very happy with this purchase. I should’ve purchased my own cable modem years ago. I was paying 10 bucks plus tax a month on renting one with optimum. Anyways I own this one and in less than 5 months it will be saving me money for years. I had everything set up as well as a wifi router in about an hour. And that’s including allying optimum up to give the number to activate the cable modem. Works as it should, no complaints. Well being a little picky and completely a minor issue..the 2 blue lights on the front seem to be very bright...too bright lol. It’s located in my fairly large bedroom and no matter which way I face it, even against the wall, it still seems to light my room up.

Recently purchased and installed with Luxul AC 3100 Router / AP combo. Replaced a 5 yr old modem of same brand. Speeds now doubled, connection stability no longer and issue. Easy to install and setup, cost effective. Small enough to conceal out of sight.

We subscribe to Xfinity internet service. We purchased this to replace the combination modem/router that was supplied by Xfinity. This review is for the Arris modem. I'll have a separate review for the router we purchased.
We have Xfinity 100 mbps internet service (it actually tests at about 10 to 15 percent faster than 100 mbps). This modem seems way faster than the modem/router supplied by Xfinity. The difference was noticeable from the first time we used the Arris. Web pages load, or can be changed, almost instantly. We don't download many big files but where we have, they download very fast. While we never had trouble with the Xfinity modem, we didn't have it long enough to make a firm conclusion. We've had the Arris a couple of months now and so far, it's performed flawlessly.
I can also report the installing the Arris was very easy. I have only moderate computer skills and I didn't have any problems. It seems to have almost installed itself.
I definitely recommend it.

I've been using Motorola/Arris modems for a decade now, and this one is definitely my favorite. We get a solid 1gbps download through this with no problem, and great reliability. As with any modem, very easy setup, no issues. Arris modems are the only cable modems that I recommend.

This is the second Cable Modem I've picked up from Best Buy. I wasn't sure if it would work with Time Warner and called to verify and the lady told me it wasn't compatible... but when I checked their approved list online it's listed there.. so I did a follow up call with another rep and was told it would work so I bought it.
Activating it was easy.. the only bump was distinguishing one of the zeros from the "letter O" but after that it worked great. In case anyone was wondering about the channels, Time Warner has 16 Downstream Channels this device is able to use and 4 Upstream Channels, which isn't bad considering my previous model had about half of that. Seems to work OK and it does have Wall Mounting Holes on the side which lines up perfectly to the previous SURFBoard model I was using.
