Great features and good price at my local Best Buy. More capacity than I need right now, but when I decide to upgrade my throughput speeds again, this one will handle those too. Installing and connecting the modem were a breeze. The most time spent was coordinating on the phone and online with the tech support for the cable box setup. This was one piece of a 4 part upgrade that happened all at once. At the end of the 2 hours, everything worked perfectly.

In my area we are starting to exceed 100MBps download speeds. While my old modem still worked. These newer models support more download/upload channels. Don't bottleneck your broadband speeds by using an old modem, especially if you're paying for higher speeds. This modem performs well I've plugged it in and pretty much forgot about it. It's been about 6 weeks and not a single restart has been necessary.

Works perfectly with Comcast in Peabody, MA

Works exactly as advertised: 250+ Mbps direct download speed (Comcast/Xfinity Blast! plan on MA North Shore limits upload speed to 12 Mbps). WiFi router 802.11b/g/n provides 60+ Mbps download, 12 Mbps upload. Very simple, plug and play, BUT I had to "make the call" to Comcast customer service to register the MAC address. The $100-ish price tag pays for itself in less than 12 months compared to the $9.99 monthly rental fee for a cable modem from Comcast.

My father never updated his router when we first installed Roadrunner about 10+ years ago. He wasn't getting the speeds he was paying for and I told him his modem was bottle necking his speed. This was more than enough for the 60 MB/s he was paying for but I wanted to have absolutely nothing interfering with his internet. Setup requires you to call your internet provider, but setup was about 5 minutes. I love the new speed and ease of setup.

My other modem died after 6 years of pretty continuous use, so I got the same thing. Internet issues were never the modem’s fault so it had work during those times and this one is working just as wel

Unit is solid and does its job well, three weeks as of this writing. It is not complicated to operate out of the box, and does not need any attention after connection has been established. The unit gets quite warm. Here are two important "lessons learned" connecting this unit to Comcast Xfinity: (1) You have to call Comcast to authorize the device; it is not automatic upon plug in only. (2) If you run into a problem that wired internet works, but wifi internet does not seem to work but rather, shunts you to a Xfinity login page: You have to change the DNS server address on your wifi router (downstream of your SURFboard). Change it away from the default to a non-Xfinity, non-Comcast server. My successful choice was Google, 8.8.8.8 is that IP address. To find this out took my untold hours; not Arris' fault, but I am aghast how not available this info was on the wider internet.

i purchased this modem so i could receive the 300mbps speed from TWC after installing this my wired speed to my desktop is 349mbps wireless is 186mbps so it was a great purchase and well worth the price. the TWC provided modem will not produce speeds like this. very easy setup . just plug it in wait for all the lights to go solid and call TWC to have them activate it. done!!! * however* you will need a pretty good router to see speeds this high with this modem

When I was looking for a cable modem to use instead of leasing my Spectrum modem, this modem was the best value while meeting my minimum requirements of 300Mbps and 16x4 channel bonding. It was a great deal, and after I found it on sale and used Reward points, it was almost the price of its lesser competitors. It has far exceeded with its speed, twice as many channels and is 1/4 the size of Spectrum's modem so it's easier to hide. VERY HAPPY

No TV monthly Fee= pays for itself

Hello readers I purchased this Arris modem so I could stop the monthly Fee from my Comcast provider. I'm a Big Fan of Comcast however I wanted to lower the cost of doing business with them and paying the upfront cost of the Arris 3.0 modem would do this in time and yes it is superior to the combination Modem/ Router I had from Comcast at a $10.00 monthly Fee. My Tech savaay Son liked it a lot and said Dad that's So awesome I think I'll move back Home, I said no no I'll buy you one for Christmas. (LOL) I really like the new Arris modem and in time it will pay for itself and start putting money in my pocket. I waited for two months to write this review to see if it gave me any issues but it is working excellent. Thank you for Reading Reviews help consumers

I read a bunch of reviews on a lot of different modems. While this wasn't showing up specifically in Best Buy search as Comcast compatible, further web research and then speaking with a rep at Best Buy confirmed it would work. Works great! Easy setup! The time consuming part of setup was dealing with Comcast to have them provision the new modem, but worth it to save the $10 per month rental fee. This will pay for itself in less than a year!

    Great Cable Modem

I've had this Cable Modem for several months now and have had no problems whatsoever with it. Installation was easy and only required a phone call to my cable company to activate its use (as well as returning my old Mediacom Modem). Now I no longer pay a $5 rental fee to my cable company, which over time will pay for the Modem. My only gripe is not with the Modem, but with my cable monopoly that I'm stuck with if I want fast internet speeds!

We desperately needed to replace our old modem and didn't even realize how badly it needed replacing until I bought this one. Have had it since August, 2021 and it does a fabulous job with connectivity. I've never had to reset it even once after connecting it to our coaxial cable. Speeds are phenomenal too! Love it!

Very easy to setup and use. Its cheap compared to renting one monthly from Xfinity. Saves you lots in the long run plus the Xfinity ones go bad after a few years while this should last 10 years.

We were having WiFi and wired internet lapses and suspected our two year old Netgear multi gig router. We did not want to spend a bundle, so thought we would use this to troubleshoot. It works great! We run 7 computers, stream music in the warehouse and offices and run 3 camera systems and its handling them all with no problem.

We had been having issues with our internet so one of phone no-support techs said the problem was our modem. So I go bought this modem as a replacement - it had twice as many download channels as the one that I had and I think that i can notice a difference. Setup was easy - plug and play right out of th box. The internet issues were no due to the previous modem as we are still working through them with the provider.
