What a great modem for the price. It’s a strong performer. It provides a solid signal and with Spectrum provided a fast connection. Easy to install.

Dependable modem - last one worked for more then 5 years. This exact same product has been on the market since October 2015 and is still for sale! Tried and true. As with anything connected to a cable that runs from outside your home, any electrical surge can take this out. That's what happened to mine, here in Florida, the lightning capitol of the US. Bought the exact same model, called my Internet provided and was back in business in about 15 minutes...speedy and maintenance free. (Your ISP provides the firmware updates directly.) 1Gbps internal LAN to your home router, and on my Xfinity, it is capable of up to 800 Mbps (depending on your plan, and the ISP speed "tier" options). No need to buy the "latest and greatest, more expensive" when the Wi-Fi maximum speed is 9.6 Gbps maximum throughput across multiple channels, and Wi-Fi 5 offers a maximum of 3.5 Gbps. Your home network is only as fast as the slowest common denominator.

I purchased and installed two of these units, one in a rental house we own and the other in my own house. It installed perfectly with Comcast without having to contact customer service. Just make sure you know your account number and phone number associated with your account. We have had no performance issues. The lights are bright, however. It is not a problem in the office but could be annoying if installed in a different room.

This modem hasn’t disappointed me yet. I have no problems downloading or streaming any movies. I have my home alarm system, tv, cameras, personal devices, etc. connected to the internet and I have no disruption in my connection. This modem is able to handle the internet speeds my plan gives me which is up to 60 mbps and I know it can handle more if I needed more which I don’t. I just need to update my router now.

I purchased this to replace a two year old Arris 6121 that worked flawlessly for two years. But when my ISP, Comcast, pushed up my speed to 200mB, the old modem couldn't keep up. Just like the old one, the new one was super easy to install and worked perfectly right out of the box. Although I am only paying for 200mB, I consistently get about 240mB and have gotten speeds as high as 260mB. Until proven wrong, I will only buy Arris modems.

I decided to unbundle and I wanted to purchase my modem rather than rent one from the cable company. I am somewhat computer challenged when things get too technical. The salesman explained the different modems and made a recommendation as to what he thought I would need. His recommendation was a good one. It was easy to set up. Once I got the cable company straightened out, all worked smoothly. And it does everything I need it to.

Works Great, had an older 4x8 cable modem that kept getting slower and slower. I was paying xfinity for 300mbs but averaging 75mbs. Talked to the sales rep at Best Buy and he said that this modem would do a great job, and he was right. I now average 270 to 320mbs. Easy setup and the 32x8 is awesome

This is a really fast modem but I was maxed out at around 150-170 Mbps with Comcast Blast speed. It didn't give any extra speed compared to the SB6183 (I was only provisioned with 8 downstream channels with both modems) so if you already have the SB6183 with Comcast Blast, don't bother getting the SB6190! Just wait for the next wave of DOCSIS 3.1 modems.

Very good price to buy instead of renting for $6 a month permanantly from comcast. It is a replacemnet for my old moterolla surfboard that couldn't keep up with the new higher speed internet which was sad beacuse it still worked just not fast enough. this is a docsis 3.0 which can do most all speeds out there from any internet provider . easy set up and not a problem yet with it.

So far, so good. Quick setup. Lowered my Comcast bill (by no longer renting equipment from them). Comcast equipment routinely caused download pauses and couldn't handle traffic it was supposed to be able to. Of course, it was probably in the process of failing. But, there have been no such problems or pauses with this equipment.

Works with Spectrum in West L.A.

The odd thing about this purchase was then it was not the one recommended by the Spectrum phone support person I spoke with. Our original, Spectrum installed modem failed and I did not want to wait over THREE DAYS to either have a technician come out or have one shipped to me. YES, 3 days. Spectrum stopped doing express shipping so the customer is left to their own resources. Luckily, a quick check on BestBuy and the internet showed that this model was compatible so I immediately went out to purchase this with a Netgear router. Hook up was simple and the Spectrum installation tech on the phone support call line was able to initialize the connection within less than 10 minutes. Speed seems to be better even though Spectrum has not upgraded our local area service. All in all, it was a good purchase and am glad the transition from the old one was smooth.

The set up was easy! I don't know a whole lot about computers and wireless but this was very simple to set up and work just fine. I have gotten rid of cable tv and stream Netflix and Kodi app to watch live tv and movies. My son plays live PS4 and also have another that watches Netflix on an iPad. All stream just fine with this router!

The Comcast rental router consistently dropped signal and never performed any where near 'hyper speed' as-advertised ... even after their several calls and their service team came to my home. Purchased the Arris router (eliminated rental fees will have this pay for itself) and with Ubiquiti WiFi mesh. the set up was easy and the service in my home is rock solid throughout.
