For anyone not getting paid to game or host, in the 50Mbps-100Mbps bandwidth range, the Surfboard is amazing. Streaming, MMO gaming, and casual surfing/email can all be done simultaneously with zero-minimal lag. I mix wired and wireless depending on demand and this modem has yet to frustrate me.

Great value and was able to pick up where my 250 mb limit device could not. Which was rated at 384 mb but I wasnt getting it. Price is right and has been very stable. When I compared to other options this one was by far the best price point.

It's a gigabit modem and it will be some time until I can either afford the gigabit connection or the prices come down. However, this modem is capable of a gigabit connection and has been stable since day 1. Speed tests confirm that I'm getting download/upload speeds that I'm contracted for and some!!

I subscribe to Xfinity Blast PRO internet (250Mbps) but wanted something capable of gigabit if and when it was offered in my area and felt 250Mbps wasn't enough. I've had zero issues with the device and worked immediately with Xfinity. Very fast, stable, and great. Would recommend!

I bought this modem to replace the modem-router that I had since I upgraded to a new router. This modem has performed flawlessly for my internet. I was having issues watching streaming media which is our primary source of television. After installing this modem, I haven't experienced any drops in internet.

Needed to replace my cable modem and wanted something that would be compliant with my provider as well as being able to handle high download speeds. This modem does the job and was very easy to install; don't forget to let your provider know that you installed your own modem! They need to document on their end!

This is a good, solid cable modem. Setup and use is easy. One call to my cable company was all it took. It was the best option for the fastest downloads from my ISP. I only have 200 Mbps download on my subscription but good to know it is capable of much more when I decide to up my level of service.

I replaced my 5.5 year old SURFboard because I upgraded my internet speed. My old one was not able to handle my new 400 Mbps. This cable modem is more than capable of attaining that speed. Setup was very easy.

I bought this modem to not have to pay cable for theirs monthly. I figured it would pay for itself in a few months. So far, this modem was very easy to set up, and allows for very fast speeds. I subscribe to 75 Mbps for my internet, and easily hit 55-60 Mbps all the time wirelessly. Have no complaints.

Works fine with xfinity. No problem installing/activating. Only complaint (not worth lower ratings) is the front LEDs are extremely bright. They illuminate a dark room. Annoying when watching a movie but nothing some tape can’t fix.

I had to buy a new modem after my old one got fried by lightning. But this new modem is way better than the old one; it makes my internet faster. This was recommended by the rep and he said I don't need 3.1 Docsis modem and this was good for my needs. It was also easy to setup.

The price on this is really good. If you can afford DOCCIS 3.1 for double the price, you should get it, but if you have a half Gig plan or 1 GIg plan, this modem should support speeds of about 750-800 gbs which is what I’ve been getting

This cable modem delivers good speed and it's easy to set up. The only minor comment are the bright blue lights...they're very bright and act as a night light. I have Time Warner Cable with a 100 Mbps plan, so this modem is overkill...but I've noticed that overkill is needed just to get their promised speed.

Great sale currently and capable device capable of handling 1 gb speed. Set up easily.

I bought this primarily in order to save money by not leasing (monthly) from my ISP, easily connected to existing router and set up. Great for when I want to upgrade internet speeds. The only thing to watch out for is rodents chewing through cabling causing internet issues.

Purchased this modem to replace the modem i pay for with OPTIMUM NJ. When you install this modem you just plug in & let it sync. Then plug a computer directly to modem. It well take you a OPTIMUM web page and call the # listed there. Modem was provisioned in 10 minutes. Speed went from 257/25 to 315/35 on average. One problem I did have after adding modem is my router NETGEAR XR500 started dropping internet. i upgraded to latest firmware then did a factory reset in that order (weird) but now no issues at all and loving my connection better than ever!

If you have Charter Cable as I do, and you have been using their "free" modem...it is time to wake up and smell the Gigabits! This modem is so stinking fast, it will AMAZE you! And the problem that we once had of too many devices causing very slow connections has now completely disappeared!

Cable company recommended upgrade to modem, and Best Buy agent recommended this one (after inquiring how I use internet). It has allowed me to use the speed offered in TV program to the fullest, and has been more reliable than old modem. Good recommendation, good purchase, quite satisfied.

The modem was to replace the big rental from Xfinity. Very slim design, fast speeds and easy setup makes this modem a great choice. Spent a little time getting it authorized but I was up and running in no time. Using this with the Norton Core WiFi modem and it works great.
