Thanks again to the Geek Squad who helped us dump our completely sub-par TWC/Spectrum modem for this wonderful one. Uninterrupted service and connection. Absolutely no issues since the switch. Geek Squad took care of EVERYTHING with our TWC service and got us all set up. YAY!

Great Cable Modem. I combine this with a internet booster and my internet coverage is great all over my house. Buy this product better than and cheaper than the renting from the cable company.

Call the ISP, give them the MAC number of the unit, plug it in (power and ethernet cable to the computer), after a few minutes for activation; and it just works. Fast, reliable, out of mind, out of sight. It's been ON for the last few weeks, no problems.

I purchased this to go with the wifi router I purchased and I now get my true internet speed. Speeds are not even close compared to the one I had from my cable company (Spectrum). I have several devices connected included streaming tv and have had no problems.

My previous router was not very old but would cut out a lot. I had not even realized how slow it was until I bought this one. Instantly I noticed much faster speeds, my mesh network was faster and set up was crazy easy.

After reading the reviews I thought this was the best modem for me and it absolutely was. I have been getting max speeds up to 115mb download and 12mb upload. When several of my neighbors have been complaining of outages I continued to have service. I highly recommend this modem.

Performs Far Better Than the Cox Panoramic Gateway

I bought this cable modem to replace a Cox Panoramic Gateway that I had in my apartment that was having network bouncing issues, and pairing it with a Linksys router, this cable modem has performed far better than the Cox Panoramic Gateway ever did.
In addition to the performance boost, I no longer have to pay a rental fee to use the Cox Panoramic Gateway. Plus, if I ever move out of my apartment, I can take it with me and activate it at a new location.
While you lose the convenience of having a cable modem and a router all in one device, it's far more convenient to troubleshoot issues with two separate devices than troubleshooting one device.
Overall, I would highly recommend this cable modem.

It was super fast to set up super easy to set up. The only drawback is waiting on your cable router to answer the phone and then sitting on hold while they do their stuff on their end. Once I do that though I’ve had no lag and no drops.

Very satisfy with the ArrisSurfboard. Easy to install, and it works beautifully. I don't have to rent the modem from Optimum any more. I wish I could give 6 stars rather than 5..

This modem is replacing my old Motorola SB6120 that only had 4 download channels and 2 upload channels. I currently subscribe to Xfinity/Comcast on their Blast speed tier (75Mbps down and 10 up in Chicago area).
I can say this modem is working fine after a bit of troubleshooting with tier 2 support. The initial configuration file that was downloaded had an error and caused it to randomly lose it's speed.
As of now I average 85-90 Mbps download and with 32 channels I'm future proofed until gigabit speeds are readily available at a decent price.

Cost Effective

This is the most cost / effective modem to purchase right now for Xfinity and most cable internet users. The 32x8 channel standard is likely going to be last / fastest version of anything coming out of the DOCSIS 3.0 standard. With a 32x8 configuration, you could have Gigabit internet with this modem. Right now, this one, especially one of the used SB6190s, makes the most cost effective sense because it will allow you to jump onto any of Comcast's 250, 400, 1000 megabit plans without any kind of change.

Got this modem to replace an old Zoom modem that kept dropping internet. Setup was easy and straightforward. Works with Xfinity so you don't have to pay rental fees. I'm even getting faster speeds that what I pay for!

Super easy set up (and very fast delivery) - rad price too! This is way better than paying a rental fee to a service provider, which to me, is a huge scam. I wasn't confident enough in myself to set a modem up on my own, but this was way easier than I had thought (pretty much plug and play, enter a code into the computer, and you're good). It's definitely lightweight so hopefully you have a solid spot to put it where it can't get knocked over. Can't believe it took me this long to just pick something and commit. Wish I did it sooner. My internet does have a note on it now that says it's not secure, and I don't know how to fix that, but aside from that weirdness I'm good.

One of the best modems on the market for those who get speeds less than Gigablast. This works great paired with a good router, and is affordable. 3.1 is only needed if you expect to get gigablast in the future. But this one is definitely great!

I've been using an older Arris 6782 Gateway (Modem/Router combo), but was only getting 50Mbps download speeds (although I'm paying for 3x that speed). So, I decided I'd try a newer modem. I wanted a DOCSIS 3.1 modem, but A., I didn't want to spend that much on a modem, and B., I was only paying for 150Mbps speeds, so I technically didn't "need" the latest iteration. Anyway, long story short: I'm getting almost 180Mbps download speeds, my Internet is more robust and doesn't drop nearly as much. Multiple people can be online at the same time and it doesn't affect my experience, like it would with the old modem. The 32x8 configuration was integral with this last point. My old modem was only 8x4, so there were only so many download channels available. All in all, I'm extremely happy with my decision. Arris is a solid brand.

This modem replaced an old Arris modem that had worked without issue for 7 years. The new modem had excellent installation instructions on on the iPhone app. I plugged in the power, Xfinity coax cable and the WAN port to the modem and logged into my Xfinity account and defined the new MAC address there. I waited about 10 minutes and the new Arris modem was working perfectly. So easy.
