This modem is great! I love that it's future proof for the gigabit revolution that's coming soon. I'm very happy with the Arris sb6190 modem.

Please research this modem the SB6190 on the web before you buy. This modem is based off the Intel Puma 6 chipset which suffers tremendously from latency. The latency caused my pages to load slower and video streaming to buffer and at times the modem to disconnect. Comcast had pushed the latest firmware to my modem on 2/24/2016 and disconnects were less frequent but the latency problems was there. I've include the some pictures testing the latency of the SB6190(The one with yellow, red. and mustard green blocks) and the latency of a Broadcom based modem that I purchased from Best Buy (almost all green block chart). STAY AWAY from anything based on the Intel Puma 6. GET any modem based on the Broadcom chipset, and save yourself some time and headache. While your at it pickup a replacement plan. I bought this modem a few months ago hoping to save on my internet bill but ended buying another modem because of how bad this one is.

So far so good to eliminate the cable modem rental free thanks to my friend for recommending me this and I couldn’t access my routers website for firmware updates with this now I can!

The DOCSIS 3.1 is required for the Comcast Gigabit service. This is one of the very few units available for this service. I’m getting around 930-940 mbps and uploads around 40-45 mbps. I’m happy with the speed and ready for 4K streaming now. The service in my area is $105 a month, but the speed is great.

I didn’t realize that there was a 14 day return policy. It was what I needed for my Wi-Fi, but it wasn’t compatible with my satellite internet. When I tried to return it 38 days later I found out about the policy. Unfortunately I obviously didn’t read the small print, and didn’t get the information verbally from the associate that recommended the product. Of course I was perturbed, but it was my fault for not being thorough in what was somewhere made clear in that small print. I’m sure it’s a great product; otherwise Best Buy would not have it on their shelves for sale.

I have had this device for a year and a half and am very pleased. Saves me the rental cost of a modem (mediacom) and allows for more control of my home internet.

Great item, got everything I wanted speeds are good no buffering

Gets the job done, my old one was destroyed from a power surge but not at the fault of the product

This has less lights that previous Comcast modems. I have my own router so I only needed the modem. Older modem light flashed based on traffic conic and going. This has 4 lights that stay on all of the time to signify that it is working. Seems more stable s well.

Great product for the money there's nothing better

Works great with my Netgear AC1750 Router! It increased upload/download speeds quite a bit!

Haven't had any problems with it set it up was really easy works good

This product is a piece of garbage. I have 1.4 Gbps speeds with Xfinity and it delivers about 500 Mbps. When I bought this at BB, the box says up to 1.4 Gbps speeds and says it is compatable with Xfinity. The BB web site says it can pull 400 Mbps, Arris website says is can pull 600 Mbps, Amazon website says it can pull 600 Mbps. The box said one thing and everyone else says something else.

For quite a long time, I've had Time Warner's fastest available internet. A few months ago, I gave Time Warner their router back and bought Netgear's NightHawk X6. From that alone I noticed a huge difference. I wish I would've bought this modem when I bought my router. Not only am I saving money by using my own hardware, but my network is now flawless. I have extremely fast, extremely reliable and extremely consistent internet now. Both the upload speeds and download speeds are maxed out to this modems capability and I have absolutely zero complaints. This modem is wonderful! If you want the best possible internet, this piece is essential.
