Purchased Aug 2023 to replace my modem/router from Xfinity by Comcast. This product was NOT listed as a compatible modem in the Xfinity recommended modems list. This modem IS compatible, though! I recommend resolving any connection issues first with XFinity first prior to setting this up to rule out any connectivity issues. There is an app that helps you, but really, you can go right to XFinity's 'Activate New Device' feature in their app. The ARRIS app will simply tell you to do that anyways. My speed is clocking in slightly above my service bandwidth, so I'm happy with that. However, that part is my anecdotal experience. BestBuy's price is fair and right on target with their competitors. They had a couple at my local store.

I was able to replace spectrum modem with this newer model on my own. It took up way less space. Easy set up with simple to follow instructions. It tells you when to call your cable provider. Called and it took them just a few minutes to get it communicating with their system. I am happy with everything so far. No more slow internet speeds or lag when streaming.

I got tired of paying an extra monthly fee so I decided to try this Arris Modem and it works as stated. I read the reviews and yes they are correct. The modem is fast and is easy to install, it was easy to chat with someone over my phone while I installed it, you can also do it online or phone. I've had it for over two months and nothing is wrong with it. The speed is as sent flawless.

We have had this cable modem for about 2 weeks now and so far we are very pleased with it. Setup was very simple and quick. We use Comcast XFinity as our ISP. Simply had to call them and give them a couple pieces of information about the modem by phone and while on the phone with the technician we rebooted the modem a couple times to get it set and that was it. Took less than 30 minutes. This was an upgrade from a Linksys modem and we are glad we made the switch. This modem will handle download speeds to over 1 GBPs easily. Our service is for 400 MBps download speeds and we typically get an average of about 450 MBps. This modem does not have wireless/router capability which means a router is needed to go along with it but that’s a simple connection. We have a Netgear router attached to this and also Google WiFi setup for wireless connection throughout our house and the setup works very well. Surfboard is definitely one of the best designed cable modems available on the market. Simple design and solid performance consistently. I would highly recommend this product.

I have been using this for almost 2 years now and it has been amazing. 10/10. Never over heated or caused any issues. My house gets pretty warm in the summer time, sits around 80 degrees F, and this thing does just fine. I have had no issues and it totally gets the advertised speeds. Having a dedicated modem with separate WIFI is always the way to go. The "all in one" units are garbage.

I purchased this because it was on sale. I saw the price and I said "Alright, I have read the reviews of this cable modem on other Tech websites". So, I said OK. The price is reasonable. Some months later I lost my internet connection. The ISP said there was no Network Outage. So, I did the troubleshooting. Checked cabling and AC power, etc. Then, I remembered I had purchased this months ago. Removed my old Netgear modem. (I purchased it from Best Buy 8 years ago) Replaced it with my Arris SB6190. Logged in to my ISP and initialized the connection. Got back on the Internet. Even streamed some shows from Disney+ and HBOMax. All is good. I also have 10 years experience in the Internet Data Center field so I know how to troubleshoot these kind of problems. So, my point of view is someone who has "field" experience in this situation. (If you're unsure then make an appointment to have an ISP send out a technician to your home) What I did is the affordable solution.

If your looking for a very strong Modem or just want to upgrade, look no further, as this Arris SB6190 Modem is one fast Modem which will deliver fast speeds. I did have the older SB6143 model which worked very well for many years and wanted to upgrade to their new SB6190 model, and I call tell you the difference in speeds are very noticable! You do have to call your internet provider in order to activate it, but after you do, you will see a big difference in your download and upload speeds. I also upgraded my Linksys Router from their N900 which I used for many years to their New WRT3200ACM Router and both work excellent together and deliver super fast Wi-Fi and Wired speeds throughout my two lever 2,500 foot home. No joke, this Arris SB6190 3.0 Modem is the Modem of choice for fast internet connections. Just buy it and love it.

Works well, easy to connect, I recommend not renting it.

Upgraded from a SB6141 since Comcast customer care did not understand that according to their own website, the customers own SB6141 was not "end of life" but rather the leased SB6141 was "end of life". Anyway, to say the SB6190 is Superb is an understatement. I upgraded my package and my speeds are now 150 down and I get it with ease. My SB6190 is paired with a netgear router (I still use the AC1900) and I'm cruising the information super highway. It's super easy to set up. With technology advancing, the 32 channel modems are going to become the norm in time to come. If you're on the fence, I would definitely recommend it.

Love the compact size, styling, white color is a change. Set up and connection was simple with Comcast. Connect Ethernet cable from modem to computer, Comcast recognizes and sends a text to confirm user and address and that's it. You're up and running. Quality seems fine, speed is fine and seems to be stable. No problems streaming. So far very pleased. Best Buy offered very good price and excellent next day shipping free. Will return to update review.

Easy to plug, had issues with it and Comcast/Xfinity for getting it up and running. Comcast ended up having to come out to help me get it going. But when it was up and running it has work very well. I has cut out a couple of times but I believe it was more a Comcast issue than the modem. Remember this is only a modem and not both as in a WIFI. You will have to buy a separate device to hook up with it to send out your signal for you devices. I love the compact size of it so it’s easy to hide behind something. The front panel is easy to read so you know that you have power, download, upload, & internet working properly. Only reason why I didn’t give the 5 stars is because of the issue I had with it during the start up process which took a couple days to resolve. But it has worked really good and the speed is also good.

I have Shentel cable and they were charging $5/mo for a cable modem rental. When it broke, they told me they only had wifi cable modems, and the new rental price was $12/month. BestBuy has fixed that for me with this excellent modem. It has more simultaneous channels to speed up downloads, and when the cable tech pinged my new modem to set me up (a 5 minute phone call), he said, "oh, wow! That's one of the best ones I've seen!" So I'm set for quite a while, and this pays for itself in less than 2 years. I don't have to reset my modem nightly like I used to, and it integrates fine with my other network components which already provide home wifi.

I bought this modem instead of leasing the comcast one. I was concerned for compatibility but have had no issues. This is an awesome modem. small. powerful. easy to use!

I found this unit worked out great in a pinch and is a simple easy way to eliminate equipment costs . I’d recommend it every day of the week

Great inexpensive modem if you are using Xfinity/Comcast cable internet. I was getting tired of my NAT being restricted with online gaming through the leased router/modem and speeds and this combined with my whole home WiFi system through TP-LINK definitely makes online gaming and streaming experience better. I’m also getting the speeds I pay for now. The app is easy to use and setup was a breeze. Pretty much plug and play with a couple of steps. If you use Xfinity make sure you go to there app and follow the instructions to activate the modem. Definitely recommend.

Bought this Cable Modem when I switched to Wowway internet from Comcast. Was easy for the tech to setup, and was able to provide the 100Mbps promised. Have not had any issues for over a month and have not had to restart or attend to it at all. Note that this is a base model, it is a cable modem, that's it! I don't need/want an all in one, especially since I use Google Wifi at home and don't need a modem to provide a substandard wifi.

Connecting was very easy and I was on the phone with Comcast tech support for only 20 minutes to get completely set up and online. That may sound like a long time, but I feel it was worth the time to get the maximum speed through the modem. This was clearly listed as a compatible modem on the Comcast support site. I have had no issues with it since connecting. Good price/performance modem.

Modem increased my internet speed to 1 gig and has helped everything in my house work faster.

Simple setup and fast... That's all that's needed. There really isn't anything internally to setup. I set this up with Xfinity w/o even talking to a human (I like it). For the money it is so much cheaper to buy a cable modem and separate wifi router. And you're able to get much higher quality equipment too.

I purchased this as my old modem was having troubles connecting and was not providing the performance of my service, 200mb/sec. Using this modem I consistently get 235 mbps. This was double the speed of my old modem a SB6141. I would recommend to only get this if you need high speed > 100mbps or plan an upgrade in the near future. This in conjunction with Asus RT- AC3100 is very good for a multi device household. Getting these items on sale was good also,
