I needed to upgrade my modem due to my older unit not being able to handle the increased speed. My previous modem was also an Arris and this particular unit was one of four that was recommended by Comcast/Xfinity. They had no problem connecting to the unit and, so far, I am very satisfied with the performance. No dropouts, no buffering, no problems. On top of that, it was one of the more affordable modems with similar capability.

Good product, has decent speed capabilities for what I need it for including 5g connection. Price was reasonable/affordable and it is easy to install.

Seriously, this device is amazingly fast and reliable. In the many years we have been running this modem it has never gone down. If you have cable internet and are paying for a fast download speed with your service provider like Comcast (we have 90 mb down, 6 mb up), then you need the power of a modem like this. It’s compact and good looking compared to most. I cannot recommend this more highly!

I bought this for my son and his wife - they wanted to upgrade as they had added several streaming devices lately and their speed and decreased as well as dropouts. They are extremely happy with it. I suggested this modem as I have have had the same model since 2016 - and it has worked with no issues. I also have an AX mesh router and have around 27 devices connected and maybe up to 10 running at same time with no issues. Normally to install you just connect it and call your internet provider and give them number off bottom of modem and they will athorize it. But be aware that your modem is just one piece of your home wi-fi speed puzzle. You need to check what speed you are paying for from your provider, check your routers speed and streaming capabilities as well. Speedtest.net is a good way to check your wi-fi speed and can be used on computer or phone. I would suggest checking over multiple days, times and devices. Personally I would never buy an all-in-one modem/router combination. If one part stops you have lost both and its much cheaper/easier to upgrade/replace if separate. This is a nicely priced very reliable option and highly recommend it.

Modem increased my internet speed to 1 gig and has helped everything in my house work faster.

I was shopping for a modem to cut Frontier off and switch to a new provider and notice the specs on this modem. Up to 1.4Gbps. That's insane for a copper connection but to future proof my home, it wasn't too bad. The sale price is what got me. I was going to purchase the model that had 683Mbps down but for $30 more it was no brainer. Installation is easy. All I had to provide my contractors is the MAC address and I was up in no time. I've signed up with Spectrum with "up to 100Mbps" down speed. I've done a speed test and got 117Mbps down and 12Mbps up. Not bad. This modem has potential. Back to the title. I think that it was an overkill because I doubt copper can reach up into the Gigabit speed. With advancement in the telecom industry it maybe possible. I didn't bother getting the one with the built-in wifi. If the wifi doesn't work because of hardware issue, then you would have to replace the whole unit or purchase a wireless router. I didn't like that idea and I really like two separate unit incase I do have replace one or the other. If I could, I might of been good with the "slower" middle of the line modem that Arris offer.

Installation is a breeze. Once the modem's MAC Adress is registered with your cable provider the modem preformed extremely well. I was able to get a consistent 147mbps download and 10.5mbps upload. Which is at the upper end of what I'm paying for. Even through a couple power outages it comes right back up without a hitch. I would recommend this modern.

Good modem for the price, easy to install and works great. The cautions that I have is that this modem will not support 1 gigabyte speed, max of 300 megabytes. The second caution is to make sure that you call your provider after you install to let them add it to the system on their end. It won't work unless you do that step.

I bought this modem to eliminate the monthly modem rental fee from Xfinity. The modem works very well, is compact and I am pleased. The modem is efficient and effectively accomplishes my goal. I read the other reviews before purchasing, however, I am not a techie so mbps speeds, flow times, etc., don't mean much to me. I like that the modem works as it should and my internet service is consistent and readily available.

Bought this for my new cable internet service. Was impressed how easy it was to plug it in and go. As soon as the cable company hooked up my cable internet. I plugged this in and it saw the connection just fine. The speeds have been exactly as advertised have had no issues with connectivity.

This has been a great little modem. It's small and simple, but gives great speed and has been pretty reliable. Definitely one of the best modems you can get for the price.

Plugged it in, set it up, works perfectly. my previous modem kept dropping my internet connection, now it's rock solid.

Grabbed this unit, because it is compatible with my cable provider. It is simple to connect. Just connect three things and call your cable provider to connect it. The only thing I would like to see is a quick description under each icon on the unit so you know what it means. Some are simple to identify, but one of them is an iffy for some. Great speeds on this unit.

I stopped renting a modem from Xfinity and installed this modem along with a Netgear Nighthawk R7800 router. I'm finally getting download and upload speeds close to what I pay for. I have not had a single dropped connection in two weeks. This modem is simple and effective. The LED lights are very bright, so you may need some sticky notes to cover them up. I highly recommend this product.

I had an sb6141 then had gotten a zoom modem. I have a lot of things connected and lots of streaming. I was getting choppy connection so I got this modem. Beautiful!! This modem handles everything great. I am on Xfinity and this modem handles the gaming my daughter does and our streaming smooth. I get all the bonded channels and the speed has increased. Can't beat that.

I bought this on the recommendation from Best Buy associate. It replaced my current modem rental from Xfinity. Easy to set up, great speed and connectivity. Very small and compact too. PLEASE NOTE; this DOES NOT have a telephone jack for phone. We currently use a phone connected through our computer. But don't think you can connect your existing phone line into this unit. Otherwise, great product at a great price!

I needed a replacement modem and found this one for a decent price. Setup is simple and functions flawlessly - no need for constant reboots. My service provider recently upped my download speed and this modem allows me to take advantage of the bump in speed.

18 months in, NO complaints. Fast (well, for what it is), reliable...we have had 5 people working online every day (NightHawk router) and NO problems (which is why I thought I should come back and review this now...sorry I am late!). Easy to setup...what more do you need to know.
