Works great. Hooked up and it started to work after cable company pinged a signal and added it to their system.

So quality wise the arris modem like its previous known name "motorola" is solid and no errors when booting up. Due to the fact that I moved for the project expansion the company I work for is doing I have a capped speed of 25mb d/l and 1.5 u/l so when rating this I can say it is doing as required but id like to test it on a higher speed when I return home. Dont get me wrong as I said before this modem is solid on performance when you run speed test but I think the area servers here are limited. I still would purchase this one over linksys or Asus ...possibly Netgear as that's another modem I looked at on performance testing online. you wont go wrong with this modem

A very good modem. No problems with connectivity and easy to install.

Replaced the old one with the same model. The old one lasted 6-7 years. New one set up was easy and it has worked well so far.

My upgraded my cable internet and the old modem wasn't compatible. I purchased this one and it works just fine.

Product was easy to set up and use. Bought this versus renting one from Comcast, a solid mid - high range performer.

We've been using a combination router modem for the past two years in our 2,000 sq ft home. We have interference issues related to a metal roof and extensive lightening rod system that prevent WiFi from working well. The solution that worked just ok was to have two routers. When the combo modem router failed we replaced it with the Surfboard and a Velop router. We're now seeing upload/download speeds in excess of 120/20, three to four times faster than previously!

I bought this product because we upgraded our internet service and our older modem needed to be upgraded. It was easy to set up and get running. It seems to be doing it’s job!

I purchased this modem after realizing my stupidity of paying a monthly lease fee to my cable company for way too many years. There were a variety of models available but this one was at the low-end cost-wise and it has worked flawless with my cable company.

Very simple to set up, works consistently and at performance levels it promises.

This is an awesome modem so it definitely gets 5 stars, but I returned it because I quickly realized that my internet service speed doesn't even allow me to utilize this to even half its ability. I'll buy the latest version of this once I'm paying for faster internet, but its overkill for now. It really wouldn't be fair to take away any stars, so do some research and if you've got crazy fast internet I would highly recommend this modem!

When deciding which modem to get, the 32x8 (32 upload streams, 8 download) seems to be the best of the best today. Docsis 3.0 should be perfect for everyone that doesn't NEED 2 Gbps and is willing to buy the extra hardware for it. I don't think any tech should be labeled future-proof, but a great modem should get you pretty far, basically until you don't need a modem when you get fiber.
