The ARRIS SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem is working very well with my Linksys EA8300. With 32 downstream channels and Gigabit speed, it has increased my WIFI capability substantially. Setup was easy, and only needed to contact my cable provider to enable the modem. Item is very reliable, and price was good (on sale for less than $100).

I got this for a replacement for my old surfboard. The set up was quick and easy, a quick call to my internet provider and it was up and going. speed was a bit quicker than my old one but after 3 months it seems to be more reliable.

I needed to upgrade my modem and after much deliberation I opted for this model. It has been fast, trouble free, easy to set up, and the design is beautiful. It is a perfect companion for my Ubiquiti mesh wi-fi. The internet is such a central part of so many of our life processes that I do not want to be beholden to the cable company for the hardware. Our family uses this device so much that we may as well get something that works well and looks good doing it. I could not be happier with this purchase

There's not much to say about this modem that most don't already know. The SurfBoard line has been around for years;the line is popular because the modems are great. They're reliable, fast, and relatively affordable. This one is no different.

Fantastic modem! Really easy to set up. Boosted my speeds and my computer runs a whole lot easier because of less traffic it has a lot more traffic Lanes

The ARRIS - SURFboard 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem is an excellent choice for a high quality replacement for the rental cable modem and will pay for itself. Very easy to install, great performance, looks good, compact.

Replaced my older ARRIS Surfboard with this new one. Easy to set up in just minutes. No issues with my internet service. No interruptions in my speed. Very compatible with SuddenLink service.

I switche from internet providers because working from home I needed fast lightning internet service. Came to find out the "new, lightning fast" internet service was down too many times while I had scheduled live segments or while I needed internet to work on my internet files period! I went back to the previous provider but I was previously told to get my own modem because that company used cheap ones and outdated ones. They were right! Best buy employees know their techy stuff, they recommended this one (not the super expensive one), and I have my old internet provider but speeds are better now and most importantly I always have service.

Bought about one month ago, but works great. Small & compact then the modem I had it before. Cheaper and better speed then what I paid for my Infinity modem.

this modem has been rock solid and there were no problems or complications during the install and set up. i bought it because it is on Comcast's approved list and i plan to upgrade to one of their higher speed services shortly

The set up was very easy and I am not a tech person at all. Very much plug and play. It works great with my Optimum internet service. I did need to call to Optimum to connect the modem to their service but that was easy also. The hardest part was dealing with Optimum but if your looking for a good modem this may be it! We have several laptops and streaming tvs in the house and with all of it going we don't experience any issues, not even with all the zoom meetings and classes!

My old modem kept dropping my connection, it was Docsis 3.0 16x4 channels and I have added a lot of devices to my network since I originally got so it was suggested to replace with a higher channel modem and this one did not disappoint! I never have any connection issues and I noticed a lot faster loading times for gaming and streaming HD/4K videos. The intel processor seems to also made a difference. The front of modem lights are blue for each connection status indicator, it’s bright but didn’t bother me since it’s in my office and normally I have a lot of light in that room. And going with a 32x8 gives me room to upgrade my speed, double or even triple without needing a new modem.

Great cable modem, had my old one go bad and did some research on this one. Glad I picked it, fast, small, very easy to set up. It did seem a to run a little warm and didn’t like how bright the lights were.

Bought after researching professional and consumer reviews. Tested with upto 140M consistent speeds for many months without issues. No booting was required or disconnections. Using with upto 4 concurrent streaming HD TV connections plus upto 3 iPhones and 3 computers. Could take more but this is what was available. No buffering etc encountered with Sling, Hulu, Netflix, Chromecast, Apple TV and Roku channels. Saves me $10 per month rental from cable company. Perforated enclosure keeps it cool. Excellent base along with high speed internet subscription for cord cutters.

This is hands down the best and most reliable cable modem. At its low price it oboe makes sense to buy this modern rather than rent one from the cable company! Until internet speeds reach past 1 gig this is the perfect modern for residential or commercial applications. Pair it to with one of the mesh wifi routers and never experience slow internet speeds again.

This has been a great modem for us, if you have a standard speed connection this is a good choice. Since upgrading to gigabit+ speed we rarely are able to achieve the potential we pay for -- we typically test at 600 -- 800mps, which is still smokin' fast and able to stream a movie in one room, work online with very fast downloads, and have two online gamers running full out, all at the same time (through a gigbit switch). We're upgrading to a DocSIS 3.1 modem to realize full potential... but I'm not anticipating I will really see much of a difference for our day to day needs.

This modem is great. Super simple and easy to install. When I called my cable company to activate it, they said it was one of the best. I coupled it with a new 4 channel WiFi router and I get super fast download speeds.

Awesome product. This modem comes with clear directions so setup was a breeze. Getting full subscribed speeds and then some. It has been rock solid on a Comcast Xfinity internet connection for 2 months and counting

I received a notice that the cable modem I purchased for Xfinity/Comcast (Philadelphia) years ago was no longer supported and had to be replaced by March, 2023. I'm on one of the lower tier plans (200Mbps), so I decided I did not need to splurge on a higher end modem as the max speeds of this unit are much higher than what I am getting from Xfinity. The process was pretty easy and took about 20 minutes. I simply replaced my old cable modem (plugged into my separate Wifi router) and followed the instructions on the Xfinity app to register the new equipment on the network (which basically just requires to enter the MAC address of the new modem and wait about 15 minutes for it to be activated). I had to reboot my Wifi router to get reconnected to the internet after the modem was activated, but that was really the only hiccup. If you're tech savvy, this is a pretty easy way to save yourself the modem rental cost. My last cable modem last 9 years. You will your cell phone with data service to activate your cable modem since your internet connection will be down while you're doing this process. I was on the fence about this or the DOCSIS 3.1 version that ARRIS makes, but decided to just go with the cheaper one and see how it goes for a while. No issues so far. I decided to purchase this at a brick and mortar store like Best Buy rather than online so that I would be able to easily return it if I ran into any problems activating it on the Xfinity network, but I didn't have any problems.
