Arrival is one of those unique movies where it makes you think weeks, months, years later. A fantastic look at how linguistics can help bring us together or tear us apart. Amazing acting, fantastic story, and beautifully shot. Highly recommended for anyone.

I saw Arrival on a whim and was thoroughly impressed. The effects were solid and the story spectacular. Without giving anything away, it's the type of movie that makes you rethink about what you've just watched and that provides a truly satisfying movie experience.

I went in to this only knowing it involved an alien first contact, and it was up for a bunch of awards. I recommend viewing under these circumstances, because the way the story unfolds is so well done. I rarely buy movies anymore, but I'm glad I picked this one up.

Many people expected the next Independence Day or Aliens movie when they saw The Arrival. Unfortunately the Aliens in this movie provide the foundation for an amazing story that will have you thinking. Great movie, thought provoking a must watch for anyway.

OK FIRST OFF THE STORY LINE HAS BEEN PLAYED BEFOR BUT THIS HAS A TWIST TO IT. YOU HAVE TO PAY ATTENTION AS IT WILL MESS YOU UP QUICKLY. VERY GOOD AUCTION EFFECTS AND SOUNDS REAL GOOD ON 5.1. KINDA WISH I GOT THE 4K VER.

I saw this in the theater and was blown away. I bought it as soon as the Blu Ray came out and watched it again. I have watched this masterpiece 3 times now and still keep finding more meaning. Extremely thought provoking! A worthy addition to my collection.

I saw this movie at the theater when it first came out. Being a science fiction fan, this one appeared to be right in my wheelhouse. It did not disappoint. It keeps you involved throughout the movie and the ending is a mind blower. I highly recommend this film

I had been meaning to see this film in the theater but never made it. Was shopping at Best Buy and saw it on a display. Very happy I purchased it. The story is very good. Glad to have this part of my movie collection.

Didn't know what to expect when I bought it. Yes, it's sci-fi and there are aliens but that's not what drives the film. It's the decisions we make and the love that makes us human. Watched it several times within a week's time. Highly recommended.

Keep in mind the film was filmed slightly dark so it may give you issue, for some reason the director wanted to film it kind of hazy filmy so it did tracks a little bit from the film but all in all it is a good movie

E.T's land on earth and scientists must figure out what they want. Good story line, thought-provoking and realistic. Amy Adams turns in an excellent performance as the translator. One of best sci-fi movies to come out in years. Highly Recommended.

We loved this movie at the theater and we knew when came out on Blu-Ray it was a must get. The bonus content is great and the movie is one that will stick with you and make you think. The way all great Sci-Fi does.

Amy Adams was stellar in this movie. I never seen it in the Theater but it had great reviews and I wanted to see it for myself. I was glad I did, it was more than I expected it to be. It had me in tears at the end. Overall Great Movie, well worth the money.

Although it seems a vanity movie for Lawrence and Pratt, their chemistry makes it work. I had thought that 95% of the screen time on them would wear thin but the back story and excellent effects and their growing relationship makes this a fast moving story.

This was a terrific, different type of sci-fi aliens movie. Thoughtful, tense, and moving, and the last 10 minutes are devastating. It even has some echoes of another great movie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Amy Adams is fantastic.

Good movie, not great. Loved the special effects and the story thread. Could have trimmed 10 minutes to tighten it up a bit. Don't watch if you are expecting high action. More like Close Encounters than Star Wars.

Great movie, awesome story with a bit of a twist, although I don't think for everyone, I loved this movie but some of my friends and family members would disagree, if you are looking for something like an alien slasher movie than you would be disappointed.

Arrival is a slow burn sci-fi classic. It's not in your face all out war like some recent titles (Battle LA, Independence Day) but rather is more similar to contact. It's a very well acted film with great visuals.

A director at the top of his game and a lovely mixture of science fiction and drama make for an excellent film. Better than Independence Day Resurgence, though Jeff Goldblum's brand of weird would have fit in well with the Arrival cast. Just a thought.

Overall I found the Bluray for Arrival to nice. Sound design was good, special features were interesting. I enjoyed the film. The only thing I wasn't 100% sold on was the twist near the end with the language.
