Great movie and a fantastic showcase of writing, acting, and directing. Badly needed proof in this decade that a great movie doesn't have to be filled with action, gore, fire, and/or explosions.

This movie is difficult to follow at the beginning. It jumps around through time. I had to watch it twice to get the full understanding but it was worth it.

How would the human race deal with life forms from another world? This is one of the most comprehensive and realistic approaches to that question that I have seen in a long time. Just wonderful!

This Tell's About The Problems Of Communication With Man Kind, And The Distrust That Turns To Fear. When The Answer Is Simple. Work With Each Other. Acting Was Great. Great Special Effects.

The visuals and cinematography were just eye candy. And it's not your average sci-fi film, but rather an intelligent, philiosphical one. It was a beautiful insight on time, language, and life.

Arrival is well written and acted by Amy Adams. Although the exposure to linguistics is limited it is just enough to pique the viewers interest. This is a good one to own for your film library.

It's a very interesting sci-fi movie I really liked it the ending is quite a twist you don't see coming definitely worth getting if you're a fan of sci-fi like interstellar...or inception

An excellent Sci-Fi movie. Better than most Sci-Fi movies I have seen. Amy Adams is great here. The movie give you something to think about instead of just flash/bang. The extras are very good.

This is a really fine science fiction film. It is thoughtful and carefully made. I love exciting movies as much as anyone but this one quietly and calmly made me think and I really enjoyed it.

I looked forward to watching this movie because of all the rave reviews about it. The movie was interesting until the second half when some soldiers left a bomb inside the alien vessel. The movie went downhill from that point and the ending was confusing and very disappointing. It is a shame because the movie started out so promising. I will never watch this movie again and once again I learned that just because a movie gets great reviews does not mean it is a great movie.

This is the type of science fiction I love that you don't see too often. Great acting, and characters you enjoy. An incredibly original story that keeps you interested and guessing til the end.

Started a little slow making me wonder what all the hype was about but after about 20 minutes or so I was so caught up I couldn't walk. away or even pause it! Very well written. Very Cerebral.

Finally an intelligent sci/fi film that is both exciting and thought provoking. Adams Amy's performance is brilliant and should have been nominated for Best Actress (in lieu of Meryl Streep).

This is a Sci Fi drama with an interesting plot that makes one think about the way others live and experience life, or in this movie, extra terrestrials.

I am always invested in movies that explore what life from the expansive universe of solar systems may be like. And, this is what I believe visitors would be like. Bring peace not destruction.

This is not a Sci-Fi action film. This is not a film about aliens. This is a film about how we react to adversity and uncertainty. This film is Intelligent and sensitive.

We watch the movie with our kids. My daughter did not like the movie my son was more interested in something else. My wife and I enjoyed the movie however.

Arrival grapples with fascinating topics ranging from linguistics to interpersonal relationships and even metaphysical perceptions of time. It's well worth the time, even if it has its flaws.
