    A return to form

I've been a fan of the Assassins Creed franchise since the very first game. I've played them all, despite some entries being less than stellar. The last go around, Unity, was received poorly by critics and fans. It was plagued with bugs at launch and had a weak story. Syndicate is a complete return to form. It has an engaging story and fun gameplay. It reinvents the series by allowing you to control 2 assassins at once and the London setting is breathtaking. They've removed online play this time around, but you won't miss it at all. The focus on the single player really pays off, because this is the best installment in some time. You won't regret purchasing this game.

this is by far the best installment in the series. a major overhaul to the combat and general fluidity of the game franchise! the combat is solid, with a multitude of options on how to dispense your foes (multi kills are amazing) i cannot recommend this game anymore than the rest. the story is solid, the side missions are varied, as are the challenges, which will keep you coming back. and overall, i have to say the Music/Soundtrack in this game is my favorite thus far.

Assassin's Creed Returns To Its Classic Roots

Coming off the heels of the disappointing Unity, Syndicate does a great job of crafting a strong standalone story that keeps you engaged as a player. The characters, the gameplay, the music and the visuals all come together to give us a pretty seamless good time. Like Black Flag, we have a very engaging core story that the adventure is built around. The dual character model is not anything new, but the acting behind the characters makes them come alive in a way where you are excited to play as either one of them. You won't find yourself dreading to do one's missions versus the other's. Also the game does a great job of being large without being overwhelming. You can navigate pretty quickly from point A to point B, and I still felt like I had tons to do yet I still had the drive to finish it. I didn't get bored and stick it back on the shelf never to finish it like Metal Gears Solid V. You'll brisk through the story missions and within a week or two with normal playtime can beat the main story. All in all, a great ride. Syndicate is a great standalone came that pushes the whole modern day storyline of Assassin's Creed to the background. Maybe one day they will reboot the series and just make it a period game instead of a dumb sic-fi thing. But as it stands, Syndicate is all around as well developed and fun to play as Black Flag was. Highly recommended even for casual Assassin's Creed fans like me who skip one now and then.

ANOTHER BAR RAISED BY UBISOFT/ASSASSIN'S CREED

The detail and history are par-excellence, as some of us have come to expect from the AC franchise. This is just another time the bar is raised for the competition. Although it lacks the multiplayer and online collaboration some of us enjoyed from previous releases, this single player adventure is played via dual roles as fraternal twins, Jacob and Evie Frye. The story is great and the action is addictive. If you're an Assassin's Creed fan, you will definitely enjoy this Victorian flashback. (Recommend: Perform side missions and quests first, clear the boroughs/districts in order of difficulty as you advance levels, and you'll certainly find yourself well equipped and easily with any necessary resources for the main story line activity.) I can't wait until the next release!

Everything that was good about Unity is in this game. Everything that was wrong with Unity has been fixed and improved. The zip line feature is heaven sent. The game play is smooth and the plot progresses nicely with great historical figures adding to the story line. Playing as either Jacob or Evie makes your approach to each mission different. Joining Uplay adds weapons and costumes. I can not stress the importance of joining Uplay enough and it's totally free. Who doesn't want more and better weapons? The use of different skills as your playing the game allows the player to move up and gain skills using a method that rewards the player for their accomplishments

The AC team really went all out to make this, not only a great looking game, but one with solid story (continuing the AC story), fun game play, and all the character of 1850s London. I catch myself saying how great London looks in this game, as I am dispatching rival gang members and making London better for everyone. Jacob and Evie are solid characters with their own strengths. It is exciting to interact with Karl Marx, Alexander Graham Bell, and Charles Darwin. I am looking forward to the DLC to hunt Jack the Ripper.

    A Return To Form

The AC series has received a lot of (justifiable) grief over the past few years, especially with the horrid release of "AC: Unity" (which was still an enjoyable game after the bugs got fixed). "Syndicate" marks a return to form with some nice changes thrown in. Saving London from the clutches of the Templars was far more enjoyable than I thought. London was beautifully rendered. Even hearing people singing in the park made me stop and listen for a few minutes. The banter between Evie and Jacob felt genuine, and being able to play as a female assassin was a very nice change. I also like how Ubi showcased that there can be far-reaching detriments to a single lapse in judgement. They also did a good job of showing that the Templars are trying to do good in their own way, even if that way is somewhat misguided. Fortunately bugs and glitches this time around were few and far between, and the requirements for getting 100% synchronization aren't as idiotic as previous AC games. This was the first AC game in which I actually wanted to get all of the trophies -- and I successfully did. I only have a few gripes with Syndicate. One is that there are way too many things to find or collect that end up not really doing anyway. I spent so much time collecting things like Helix fragments that I figured would unlock an achievement/trophy or a special item only to find out they give you some Helix credits that I wouldn't have spent anyway. My other gripe is that the primary missions were still very heavily leaned towards Jacob. Having an even 50/50 set of main missions between Jacob and Evie would have been ideal. Fortunately, just about all of the side and DLC missions can be played with either character. Is this the best AC? Possibly. I still rank "Black Flag" and "Brotherhood" up there as two of my favorites. But after the "meh" AC3 and the fun but bug-ridden release of "Unity", I found "Syndicate" to be a very refreshing (and fun) return to form of the AC franchise.

This entry in the series, even though the ending falters a bit, give hope that the franchise may have a better future than last year's disastrous entry would make fans think. While free-running has been improved with new vertical options it's still not perfect (you'll still end up stalled in some chases when the avatar just steadfastly refused to go where you want it), but it does make traversing the large map relatively painless. Combat is much more fluid and satisfying than previous entries as well, with a distinct brutality to the street fighting and finishers. Overall I would recommend for a fun diversion, especially to see an engrossing representation of Victorian London.

I'm not too far along (finished Seq 3), but the game play seems solid. I've had one major graphical glitch (missing a whole character in a cut scene). The parkour works much better than previous versions, but finding the right place to attach the rope launcher sometimes takes a little effort. The way cover is used is MUCH improved. The story thus far is pretty good and kind of cool getting to play two different characters, although dealing with two different skill trees is kind of a pain, but you can set up each character a little differently. All in all a good game other than a few glitches, but hey it wouldn't be Assassin's Creed without the occasional graphical glitch.

After issues with Unity this game is very well done. London looks amazing. Evie and Jacob are great characters. It isn't usual story driven game but still has a story but you can pick and chose what you want to do. It takes the best parts of AC 1 and Ezio series and brings back the fun to the series. Plus it adds a lot of great new features. I have played all of the AC games and this is one of the better games I've played in years. Long live AC.

If you have ever played an assassins creed game before, this game is better than it. If you have left the series, now is the time to come back. I have played every single game in the series and there has never been a game in this series that feels this good nor has it had a story as good since AC2. This game is worth playing. The characters are great, not just the leads but also the side characters. The gameplay plays great

With focus back on single player, this game is pretty great. Engaging characters, decent story, and no major glitches that I've seen so far. All in all a vast improvement over last year's mess, and move in the right direction. That being said, I see maybe 2 more games before the series ends or gets rebooted, and with a movie on the way, who knows.

This game is fun! The story is descriptive and the game play is easy and enjoyable. Just walking around as the characters is a exciting because the graphics and missions/challenges are great. I would compare this game to Batman, Arkham Knight in terms of game play and feel! I would highly recommend the game to anyone thinking of buying it

This is one of the best Assassin's Creed games in the last years. After the disaster with Unity on his launch with so many bugs, Ubisoft make it right this time with Syndicate. The gameplay is great, the scenarios, the fact that you have two main characters who are completely different in terms of skills is awesome. A must have!

Finally, great gameplay is back in the AC franchise. I haven't finished the story. So far it isn't among the most incredible stories, but the main characters Jacob and Evie Frye are intriguing, fun and easy to relate to. But the best thing about AC Syndicate is the gameplay. It's obvious that this was the biggest focus of the Ubisoft team working on this game. I have had zero glitches so far. The animations are very smooth, aside from very minor odd character movements when walking/climbing on tight surfaces. Combat has been revamped and is, in my opinion, by far the best and smoothest combat that this franchise has seen. (And yes, I have played every main AC console game, so I can say that.) London looks wonderfully detailed. It will remind you some of Paris, but that isn't a bad thing as the city of Paris (graphically speaking) was perhaps the best part of AC Unity. All in all, you won't be disappointed with this game!

I have played every entry in the series so far and while there have been stumbles (i.e. AC III, Unity), this game gives us two unique handling and acting personalities. The map is improved and the game mechanics have improved. The story is engaging enough. Great entry!

Fantastic return to focus on single player assassins creed. Loving this game so much. Occasional hiccups on train/horse sequences with loading, but very minor overall in the scope of the whole game. Would recommend to any early AC series fans.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate isn't the previous title, Unity, that's for sure. The story is more compelling than the last. With two playable Assassin's and a big of a map for you to freely run around Victorian-era London, this Assassin's Creed game is one of the better Assassin's Creed games yet. I would recommend this Assassin's Creed game to any hardcore fans.

Assassins Creed Syndicate is a great game. Ive only actually finished one assassins game and that was unity and this one will be my second. the thing with the assassin games that ive noticed it that the storylines are kind of slow but theyre just interesting enough to keep playing. and it also offers a lot to do as in side missions.
